I've been trying to WILD for 5 nights. (wow not a whole lot hehe I know this takes time...)

I know I'm almost getting there. I get to the point of having SP, feeling the vibrations hitting and seeing HI, but I can't go any further. Most of the time I get too excited and lose concentration, but I know that every time I fail because I lost concentration, I got a little further into the process.

So I was thinking about something that could aid me, then I thought "well, all I know about WILDing is what I've felt myself and what I've read from the guides". I don't really know what people feel, think, see when they are trying to WILD.

I would love to know what WILDing is like for you. Just describe to me what it's like from the beginning to the end

      Thanks in advance.

      Regards,

      Ben

So Anyway, I laid down.. But I wasn’t trying to goto sleep because I knew that my girl was gon call me back...

Next Thing I know.. I was sleep.. but it seem like something awoken me.. It's was LIGHTS! and I said hmmm.. HI
! But before I knew anything it felt like My body was being Paralyze and I even remember opening my mouth, and slob came out... Then I Felt like I was LEAVING MY BODY! Lol... I Wasn’t scared at all (surprisedly...) and next thing I saw I SAW TREES!!! It was like a lil Movie clip! I didn't get excited, I knew what this was. And I knew exactly what I had to do, to make the image come clearer... But before I knew it... I Heard a phone ring... things went black... I awoke.. and answered the phone... and It was my girl...

Im going to try this Again tomorrow Morning, I believe once U experience something, U finally have it in your mind that U can do it.. Because I went back the sleep after we got off the phone, and I awoke once again by seeing Lil Lights... it stayed like that for a while, So I said forget it, and got it...

It's quite diffrent for me, I lay there and focus on being in the dream, and eventualy I'll lose track of the physical world, and I'll just be there, last time I did it it took me an hour on my back (feels like less) but I never once fell asleep on my back before, let alone had an ld on it.

i have the same problem. I got the furthest i ever have last night, I was laying for about a half hour or so, i so the numbness on my body and just tried to look at the HI without getting too involved, its hard to explain, but thats the best way, look at the HI and just keep your mind conscious, think to yourself, and keep yourself calm. For some unknown reason my HI is always purple at first, and then it comes into color once I really get into it. So once you start gettin HI all you have to do is what i jsut said and not get too involved, just flow with it. Eventually, if you're not trying really hard, you will get full color pictures behind your eyes and just 'slip' into the dream.

But you have to remember, dont TRY once you get to the HI if you do it wont work, its like trying to fall asleep, it doesnt work.

The experiences i get off WILD are fascinating; especially when I get to the SP's, my whole body goes numb, and everything gets heavy eventually, I feel prods and pokes here and there, sometimes pulling on my leg, your chest gets heavy, then the HI, the colors, you should watch them like your watching clouds, be passive let them happen, (try and make out their shapes as if they have one) ,sometimes your HI could go away but that doesnt mean you've failed, sometimes your already in a dream you dont know, maybe do a RC? For me the HI brings me into my dream, they morph into dreamscapes.

I'm glad you said that. You reassured me that it was really my first trip into SP last night and not some invisible being poking me in my thigh. Haha, it's actually a creepy first time experience. Something poking my leg and my heightened heartbeat rate disturbed me enough to sit up in bed and look around.

I bet everyone would find it creepy during their first experience, sometimes the SP still gets me. But they work like a mood enchancer, if your scared then the hallucinations you get = scary. I remember I got to a point once, that all of a sudden I fell through my bed (you know how its like when you get that feeling-the adrenaline rush), I jerked a little but tried to remain calm; but I kept falling and falling until I gave up because I couldnt concentrate.

There's a method called the sound method. You basically need TOTAL silence and listen to the tiny ringing noise in your years. Just relax and concentrate on it. Eventually, it will intensify. Then ...

I was thinking of making another topic but, since this one is just what I want to ask, I'll post here.

I wasn't trying to WILD, well, but I was trying to concentrate and relax. Sometimes, when I do that, and try to 'unfeel' my body, hmm what should I call it, I think you got the idea, I feel an weird and enormous loss of balance, equilibrium, and sense of gravity. Also, my other senses were increased in that moment. Know when you close your eyes, but it's not like everything is black, it's like you're not seeing anything, really?
Plus, everything start to spin, at the point sometimes i felt myself upside down.

Wasn't able to go further, because everytime I do it succesfully I start laughing non-stop . It's a very weird sensation. My question is, does this have something to do with a WILD? do you feel disorientated while trying it, or not?

      Thanks o/ (in advance)

PS: and padawan, sorry for using your topic, but this may be helpful y'know? Maybe I got so close and didn't know it.

Hmm, and to keep myself on-topic, I tried but never had a WILD, and got no close. (unless...read above)

      Hello again, young padawan.

Haha, I really don't know what made me say that, but anywho, I think that I have something that can help you. I watched this last night:

If that doesn't work, then just go to YouTube, and type in Lucid Dreaming in the search engine. There are lots of other things you can find!

Okay, in the WILDs I've managed to get to come out, here's what I get:

I start off in bed. I get to the stage where my breathing slows down heaps, and my body goes tingly. Occaisionally I feel light vibrations, but usually none. I get a bit of numbness, no noticeable SP. I can move if I want to, but doing so breaks me out of the wild.

Eventually I get to the phase where something feels like it's happening in front of my eyes. Once, I got insanely vivid hypnogogic imagery, but usually I get colours or swirls or shapes, or even more often, nothing. But it still "feels" like my eyes are going tingly a bit. Hard to describe.

So, then, the tinglies and everything fades away and I feel light, transparent, a bit numb, and a force lifts me up off my bed, so that I end up standing on the floor in front of my bed. My vision is dark - sometimes it gets lighter on its own, but mostly it doesn't, which is a problem.

Everything is silent and still, except the walls. The bloody walls. Whe walls wobble and warp and I stumble around drunk in my dream-bedroom, trying to find something to grab onto so I don't fall over, and then I try to stabilise the dream.

That's about it. The sensation of my dream-body rising up is weird and hard to explain. I don't believe in astral or OBEs, but if you want a good description of the sensations, read a few people's descriptions of those.

All these lucid terms are new to me. However I have been having lucid dreams with dream control since I was 4 years. If my understanding is correct of WILD it's making yourself have a lucid dream while you are still awake, which apprently is what I have been doing since probably 10 years old. I do this almost every night! My technique is extremely time consuming, but has almost always worked for me. I lay in bed on my back in as confortable position as possible. I pick my topic/adventure or continue from where I left off the previous night. On new topic/adventures is where it takes the most time. The reason is I build my world down to the details. For example I started a new one last week in a cabin in the woods. I didn't just picture a cabin. I built the cabin from the frame up, including how the timbers were joined together. And that continues with the things in the cabin. All this is done while still awake laying in bed.

It usually takes me 1-3hours to fall asleep every night. Needless to say this affects my sleep and my life, thank god I don't have to get up early for work! I think because everything in my world is so detailed and controlled by me before the dream, it makes it easier to have so much control during the dream. I would compare my dreaming to tivo and video editing tools. There are different levels of dream control depending on what I am dreaming. I either use my control to prevent things from getting off track or out of hand or in less control dreams if it goes in the wrong direction I pause, rewind, change things, and then hit play again.

I don't know if it's just me or the lucid dreaming, but I have always been hard to wake up. Over the past 34 years of my life I have noticed a pattern that leans towards the lucid dreaming. If I stay up until I am exhausted and don't dream I usually am easier to eake up. I will even wake up several times throughout the night. If I am in a lucid dream I sometimes hear the reality (Alarm clock, girlfriend, etc..) but I don't want to leave. I think becuase I have done it so long I have gotten used to ignoring reality it's second nature and hence I have become a person really hard to wake up.

      Well that's my 2 cents
