      Hi!
I just had a dream in which I decided to lie down on a really wet meadow in the rain... but I couldn't feel the water and it wasn't affecting my ability to breathe when I buried my face in the grass. So I knew that it was a dream. But it was an afternoon nap and my sleep wasn't really deep so I woke up immediately and noticed that I was in sleep paralysis.
My question: Do you see things while you are in SP? I mean, even if I open my "dream-eyes" I don't see anything.
I decided to "roll out of my body" and after doing this I knew that my dreambody was on the other side of my bed, but as I mentioned, I couldn't see anything and everything faded away. I woke up. It's pretty hard to start a LD without any vision at all...

Do you have intact vision while rolling over? Or do you just lie still and wait (like in some WILD techniques)?

      Thanks!

What you are describing is not sleep paralysis. You were in a dream and THOUGHT that you had 'sleep paralysis'. This could be a false awakening, but it seeemed like you knew you were asleep. Sleep paralysis does not occur in dreams. Sleep paralysis occures when you are awake in reality, but your body is asleep. You are unable to move and may or may not have full consciousness of your body.

Hello again! Thanks for your reply, but I don't know exactly what you mean. My story may have been a little confusing because I wrote something about "dream eyes"... Hmmm.. I was in a dream, yes. Then it went away and I found myself in my bed, unable to move. This includes my eyelids. I was also well aware of my situation.

But there is some point where SP becomes a dream... when you "leave" your real body behind I mean. From then on you ARE able to move etc... when I opened my eyes then, I didn't see anything.. that's what I meant. Technically, Sleep Paralysis may be over then.
Sorry that I didn't make this clearer.

Just wanted to ask when your "vision" starts after SP.

Sleep Paralysis happened to me quite often a few years ago (with all these stranger-in-the-room-feelings, the buzzing etc.) when my sleep-cycle was REALLY messed up. During my 1-year social work everyone has to do after school here I fell asleep maybe 10-15 times a day because there wasn't anything to do for me....)

Pretty soon. Once I feel like I left my body (which is how I would describe it), I concentrate on my thoughts. I don't open my eyes, just inside me head. I would only open my eyes when I need to do a reality check after I feel a break or change in reality. Once you start opening up your mind and letting images come to you, you just have concentrate fully on that while maintaining your sleeping state until your body kicks into rem and it becomes a dream.

This all sounds pretty close to astral projection to me
