Sounds a lot like hypnic jerks. These occur mostly during stage 2 of the sleep cycle, and are perfectly normal. That's what I know of them, at least. I also know wikipedia has some stuff to say about it, too. |

Last night I was trying to fall asleep and I was having these sudden twitches, some little ones and one big one like I was going to get up and went back down quickly (I was laying on my back). I was trying to do WILD but didn't gave much consciousness. Was I falling asleep? What was happening? |

I don't know if this is mentioned in the article that Abra gave but I remember reading once that this happens because as your falling asleep your body thinks your dying so it give a twitch. There is proper name for it but I can't seem to remember it. |

yes i had those to. i tried to wild once, and got one of those. my entire body jumped, was almost like a shock type feeling through my body it was weird to say the least. |
