Here's a new technique for everyone, its called Ailment Induced Lucid Dream. All you have to do is gorge heavily on heavier foods very late at night and go to bed. With any luck you will wake up writhing in agony and have a couple hours of miserable insomnia. On the bright side, for some reason, this seems to create inadvertently the prime circumstance for having an LD or AP. I have had about 5-6 lucid experiences ranging from being lifted off my bed (AP) to becoming lucid in a dream all with varying success, but everytime it was the result of me having miserable insomnia due to some stomach problem or bad cold symtoms like last night. It has happened now 3 nights in a row, then I become excited at my newfound ease, but then when the symptoms subside, I no longer have success.

I believe this may indicate that at least for me, and perhaps others out there, if you are attempting either the MILD or WILD techniques, it may be better to actually wake up for a more substantial amount of time than 20 mins or so and also, it is important to really wake yourself up. Everytime I've had success (during sickness) the circumstances were
      1. I woke up and tried to go back to bed for 1-3 hours (sometimes longer&#33
      2. I was very awake (agitated)

So True. I actually fell ill 2 nigths ago and had a Lucid Dream last nigth when I was pretty ill. Headaches, Muscle aches in my back, eyes being oversensative to light, coughing terribly. Last night I had a cup of Tea in the middle of the night to relieve my sore throat. Then I ingested Promethazine, an Antihistamine syrup that does a good job as a powerfull relaxant and mind calmer and fell asleep around 4:30.

On the one hand the ill-sensation of Headache made me feel really drowsy and Sleepy, while on the other hand the discomfort of my backmuscles aching and skin burning a little kept me somewhat awakened throughout the night and lead to a couple of Brief awakenings in the middle of the nights.

Maybe that's why I had a Lucid Dream last night. Haven't had one in a LONG time. I'm still rather ill so I wonder what will happen tonight. If my ailment wakes me up again, or keeps me up very late I'll have another Cup of tea in the Middle of the night. Tea heals

Good Topic. It came to my attention before but now that it seems very assumable that my Ailment was related tyo my Lucid Dream it's grasped my attention again. Next time I'm ill like his I'll have something positive to look out for

Well it's the weekend, so I will wreak havoc with my sleep schedual to Lucid Dream. I think I will try a full one hour long WBTB, . (Normally I only get up for about 5 minutes. On a good day.)
I had a strange dream last night...

It looks like I caught a cold, and whenever I do, I sleep as if I were half asleep, and half awake all night. Whenever this happens, my mind races with thoughts all night and plays games with these thoughts. During these periods of illness I have never remembered any dreams, but I'll see if I can remember any SP or HI during the next few days.
