      Cool

      This technique in itself is really similar to a WILD (at least that's what my brother says) but it worked for me 5 times last night 4 of which were lucid dreams.

      <div align="center">The Technique</div>
      <div align="center">Start of by having a cup of tea or something to relax yourself before bed.
      Before going to bed get something to cover your eyes up with so when you close your eyes it&#39;s completely black, I just used my blanket.
      When you go to bed, lay on your back and prop your head up a little. Like by using two pillows. This may or may not be important, but we will see.
      When you get comfortable, cover your eyes with your blanket.
      Imagine as vividly as possible a scene, I used the opening sequence of half life 2 when your on the train.
      Now i visualized this as vividly as possible, sometimes rotating around to make sure everything was perfect.
      Sometimes the scene started to fade and I had to re-create it, this happened several times.
      After a space of time unknown to me, i realised i could play, or move around in my scene.
      I was lucid dreaming.
      I then proceeded to play out the first level of half life 2, then did whatever i wanted.
      After waking at the end of the dream i did this again, working perfectly.</div>

      This will now be my technique to lucid dream, as it works almost perfectly. With a 4/5 chance of having a lucid, I&#39;m pretty happy.

      There is nothing you can lose by trying this technique, so give it a go&#33;

      I will try this as soon as I can, tonight if I remember it.
      Last night I felt like I was on my way into a dream, as a game character, but I had the feeling of going into prince of persia

      Well, this morning I went up, had a cup of tea, read some on DV, listened to some chillout music, then went back to bed. I tried the VWILD, or whatever its called, but I just couldnt seem to get ANYWHERE. I felt strange at times, and tried some anchoring, which might have worked out, mildly. I lay there for about an hour. But I will try again tonight. Patience

      This sounds very similar to WILD, but I suppose you could call it something like GILD (Game Initiated Lucid Dream)

      This is preformed with WBTB, no? Should this work when trying to nap? What did you do while waiting for the scene to solidify?

      Half Life 2 is a phenomenal game.

      This is just like the V-WILD method I posted, it seems to me alot of people don&#39;t understand what VILD is, it is not WILD, it&#39;s thinking heavely about a topic then dreaming about it later in the night.

      But yeah V-WILD is pretty effective, I&#39;ve seen alot of posts about this type of wild.

      People should probably research their acronyms before attempting to correct others.

      This is VILD, which is invariably a subcategory of the WILD technique. It is an induction technique in which you do not lose conciousness, therefore it is a WILD; in particular, you make the transition using visual techniques, therefore it is WILD.

      I&#39;d have to say that imagining CGI is probably a bad way to go... if you want to have a proper lucid, I&#39;d imagine you&#39;d be better off painting a real scene around yourself.

      This worked for me once, it started when i was on the bus, first i saw, then i heard, and slowly all of my senses were dragged into the dream, last of all being movement. The dream was great&#33;

      Hmm, a VILD/WILD then.
      I usually just do this when i normally go to bed. I&#39;ve heard doing inductions using WBTB is more effective, but i haven&#39;t needed to.

      Oops, you right, according to the VILD tutorial it is a VILD, my mistake

      I thought that it&#39;s not a VILD because I read somewhere that VILD is this:
      Imaganing a scene, imaganing doing a RC in the scene and realzing it&#39;s a dream. Then you fall a sleep normaly and hopefuly dream the scene and have a DILD.
      So I thought VILD was a sort of a visual MILD/DILD.

      I don&#39;t see how you can imagine recognising a dreamsign without visualising it. :/

      We need to clean up our acronyms. ._.

      Well you do visualize it but it&#39;s just not a wild.

      I LOVE Half Life 2 and Prince of Persia&#33; That&#39;ll work for me cause I play them so much&#33;
      Thanks&#33; Do I have to have so many hours of sleep before trying, or just dive in? Ima try both ways to see which would work best. Thank you so much&#33; *bookmarks & prints* :yumdumdoodledum:

      This is sort of like what I did once...except I already had a night&#39;s sleep and I woke up and did as little as possible, and I visualized a scene. At first, it kind of looked like those afterimages you get after looking away from something really bright (sort of all purply and green), but gradually the scene came clearer and I was in a lucid dream from the start. I don&#39;t remember any symptoms of WILD when I did it. I can&#39;t say it was like a normal dream reentry because I opened my eyes before and then closed them again and entered a completely different scene.

      Does your technique have any symptoms of normal WILD?

      Any more luck with this? I have tried a few times but no luck. It does however make me fall asleep really fast.

      Do you think you could explain a little what is going on while you are visualizing the scene? I tried to just picture
      the train from Half Life 2 in my head, but I will almost always have music playing or people saying weird stuff in my head while watching HI. After the sounds set in, it is really hard to concentrate only on the scene. What do you do while imagining the scene? Just stare at it, or do you visualize moving around in it and touching things? What do you mean by "rotating [the scene] around"?

      well thanks.

      I don&#39;t know what to visualise I don&#39;t play computergames, so if I try something like surfing I try to ride a wave, to a few turns, after that I don&#39;t know what to visualise next, if I keep doing the same thing over I get bored and lose my focus fast. Any ideas?

      What? So I been doin VILD this whole time? What exactly is a plain WILD then? Is it just not visualising anything and trying to somehow stay awake as you fall asleep? Coz from what I&#39;ve heard, once you start seeing HI you eventually form a scene from the HI and &#39;step&#39; into it. Meh....

      I have a question about this technique. Is it done as you go to bed at night?, or is it a WBTB? It sounds to me like a VILD WILD combo, but whatever it is I might as well try it, as if it can even help speed up falling asleep for me, I&#39;ll consider it a success.
