I doubt there will ever be an easy "trick" to achieving lucidity, unless someone invents some magic pill or something. Considering it's all in the mind, and how complex and different everyone's minds are... I saw someone mention LaBerge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming in the replies. It's an excellent book. The author talks about numerous techniques that have been used and perfected by Tibetan monks, experienced oneironauts, and himself.
The author claims that after enough vigorous practice, just about anyone can achieve a state where he/she can lucid dream at will using no more effort than casually thinking, "I could go for a lucid tonight."
