I've always heard that eating before bed gives you crazy dreams, but I've never noticed a difference myself. |

Has anyone noticed whether or not going to bed on a full stomach affects lucidity? I know when you eat right before bed, your body has to devote energy toward digestion in addition to the energy it normally expends on the tasks it performs while you sleep, and I was wondering if this would have any effect on either vividness of dreams or lucidity. Eating before bed may cause you to sleep longer and not as restfully, and given this neither enhancement nor inhibition of lucidity would surprise me. Which one is it? |

It's probable the reason that statement arose was because if you eat a lot before going to bed, your sleep will be more disturbed, and you will remember more dreams. |

It's a good idea to eat an hour before bed. Going to bed hungry is not a good idea because it may distract you from relaxing. |

The rule is that you're not supposed to eat 4 hours before bed because your body's digestion disturbs your sleep cycle. I'm not sure what it does to dreams though. |

I generally find that when I don't eat within a few hours before bed, I have a better chance at becoming lucid/ remembering my dreams. Besides that, I just try to avoid eating before bed because the food you eat just sits on your stomach anyway. It's good to eat after you exercise, when your metabolism is up. |

If I eat before bed, I get restless, and don't sleep well. If I don't sleep well, I don't dream well either. |

it all depends what u eat there are are some foods known as ld foods which are meant to help induce ld's which include popcorn, ice-cream, cakes, pickles, and fish (brain food) |

I personally usually eat before bed but it's not a gourmet meal just something to tide me over so I am not hungry. When I go to bed hungry I usually wake up so I guess it's kind of good for WBTB, but other than that nope. So if you are going to eat before bed do it a little ahead of time. |
