Stuck on the last step of WILD

Well lately I have been having many DILDS but they aren't easy for me to control...I always end up losing lucidity. I know why that is, incidentally, and I'm working on it.

My problem is WILDing. The first steps for me are easy. I get to the point where I have HI and then it starts to turn in to scenery, then actual scenes. I get to that point really easily. The problem is the transitional stage. Or whatever the stage is where I sort of inject myself into the scene. I have no bloody clue how to do it. I have never had a WILD.
It's so frustrating, cause I can get to those stages in less than 5 minutes at any time of the day no matter how little sleep I've had or how much. But I have no idea how to put myself into the scene. Everyone describes it as just passively "doing it" but not really any detailed explanation of what they're thinking when it happens, or how to do it. it's so frustrating!

I want to have lucid dreams in some way other than DILDs cause my DILDs aren't that strong. Any suggestions?

      -Rain

You should be lucky you can even get that far (and in five minutes too, that's awesome). I haven't even been able to get to SP or HI or anything else that people feel when they're about to WILD. Although, one time my limbs felt lighter than usual and a little numb.

No thats going numb SP is when you can't move your body hence Sleep Paralysis.

Well if you get to the later stages of WILD quickly perhaps your body has not caught up with you? Your body sleeps to, so you will most likely have to wait for your body to fall asleep and then that could possibly launch you into a LD. Remember WILD takes a bit of time for some.

Some have waited 15 minutes 30 minutes 1 hours 1 and 1/2 hours and have had nothing happen some have. For some it is hit and miss sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. You have to have patience don't move unless you have itch then itch it and get right back to where you were this will set you back a bit, but not as much as if you had left the itch.

Eyes do not move them leave them on a spot, if you see HI let it happen don't focus to much on it or it will mess with the WILD process. Breathing let it happen normally you will notice overtime you don't think about it anymore it just happens at which point it will be shallow breathing. Swallowing same with breathing let it happen overtime the body will take over.

After all this just wait you will notice the key word in WILD could be a Wait Induced Lucid Dream.

I see, that is very helpful, thanks. I'll give that a shot. I often find I take the advice of how to do these things too literally, and in doing so I'm thinking too hard I guess. I find that swallowing messes it up. I take it that it doesn't for you?

Dont worry about swallowing, just do it. dont focus on it or it will mess it up, but i have to swallow all the time when i wild so just make sure to do it and not focus on it

I think maybe wilding is different for different people...clairity says don't give into any bodily thing because its the mind testing to see if the body is still awake. Idunno I'm confused with WILDing.

Well one thing is for sure, Clairity is definately right about not giving in to jerks and not responding to it, to ignore it, that way i believe she said it tricks your body into thinking your asleep, and i have found that it does work.

so then what do i do about swallowing? it gets to the point where it feels like going to choke if i don't swallow, and it always happens right when i'm about to go transitional or whatever..

Hmm, i see your problem, may i suggest one thing, when you are getting more relaxed try breathing in and out of your mouth to try and dry out your mouth, or you could try and focus your attention on something other, your aware of the problem when you think about it after all, easy solution, don't think about it.

Ever since I've began LDing, I'll suddenly become aware at different times during the sleep cycle. Last night, for instance, I was thinking about burning a CD, when suddenly my thoughts jumped to backyard ring toss. My concious mind actually cut in and said "Ha. How random. That makes no sense. What stage of sleep am I in now?" These sporadic instances are the closest I've come to WILDing.

Sometimes, I'll be in darkness, not thinking about anything in particular, and definetely not thinking about anything bodily. Suddenly, I'll hear a noise, or see a picture, and it will explode into a dream scene. Once, it was a paper rustling noise, and suddenly I was taking some sort of test at a desk. Another time, I heard a banging noise, then my sister appeared banging pots and pans in my living room. These are the only dream transitions I can remember (in both cases, I was lucid from the start).

You need to forget about your body altogether. But the key is, don't just forget about your body. Doublethink. Forget that you're supposed to forget about your body. As in, concentrating on forgeting about your body will be counterproductive.

WILD is different for everyone. CLARITY says that you shouldnt move at all and you will have a wild, well that works for her. Me personally. can scratch my itches and swallow and all that other great stuff, and still have a wild. just keep in mind that all those wild techniques, are more like guidelines. You need to make your own to WILD the best

It's hard for me to explain...

For me its like I drift off and get pulled into the dream. It's like I see the image clearer and clearer and then I let go and make myself get pulled in.

Damn that's what everyone says haha. I don't know what anyone means! Like that happens to me...I see actual scenes playing out before my eyes. I just don't know how to go into them. I try to become a part of them, and then nothing happens lol
