      Sleep issues

I had the lousiest night ever. I tried for another LD cause I was lucky the last night and actually had 3 small ones. So I set my alarm for 5. Now the problem is I had trouble falling asleep for a little while, then instead of waking up at 5 with my alarm, I woke up at 4 and couldnt get back to sleep at all.

I've always had this problem, whever I set an alarm, I wake up before it. Normally only like 5-10 minutes before, this time it was an hour or more. The last night thats what ruined my first one, I was lucid and then the alarm went off and woke me up.

      Any suggestions for this problem?

I've had this problem with the lucid light as well. It's caused by anxiety for the alarm going off. What I do is to relax and forget about the alarm/light going off and I slept through the light. U could also try vitamin B pills...I fall asleep faster when I take them.

Yeah I would echo what IMJ said - Your anxiety for the alarm will make your boxy clock kick in and wake you up, and then all you think about it your alarm again and will have trouble sleeping again. I would maybe stop for a couple of days, then try again, but try not to stress too much about it

      Lucid Light?

I am really new. What is a Lucid Light? This may be useful. Some of the best times to dream is as you first reach sleep states. So I will set the alarm before I need to be up. I then hit the snooze button over and over. In this 5 minutes between alarms I get many short lucid dreams.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

Hi, I was refering to a light that I rigged up similar to the dream mask... in hopes to trigger lucidity. So far hasn't worked yet...

I'm not an expert or anything but, wouldnt this just make the alarm "new" again to my mind and just renew the feeling all over?
