      My First WILD Attempt

I have gotten to where I consistently recall dreams every time I get a full night's sleep, so this morning I decided to try a WILD. I got as far as having tingling sensations in some of my muscles and at the peak I suddenly tensed up, my chest puffed up, and my breathing became very shallow. I thought that might be the choking sensation some describe. But then I relaxed again. I decided to go for broke, open my eyes, and do some reality checks. To my disappointment I was wide awake. I also saw that I had spent almost an hour trying to get there. If anyone had similar experiences with their first attempt, I'd like it if you could give me some of your personal pointers to get me going.

I have horrid luck with WILDs. I've tried many times, and fail, even when lying in bed for two hours! Looks like you have a similar problem. Try to separate your conciousness from your body--don't focus on your body at all. It's hard to do, especially when you "try to not focus." D=

When I do DEILD or FILD, I feel a numbing jolt sensation. And when I reality check, I'm dreaming!

I want to try WILD some more. I'm recovering from a cold, so I keep scraping my throat, coughing, blowing my nose... Funny, I can stay completely still during a hypnosis session, but not for WILD!
