I sleep through severe thunderstorms.

So, would this deep sleep hinder me from having LD's? I used to lucid frequently when I was a child, now in my 20's I have trouble even remembering my dreams. I have, and remember the most vivid dreams when I take a nap in the daytime since it's a light sleep. I'm going to start trying tonight using a regular interval beep on my computer that was suggested in another thread.

Are there any ways to sleep lighter?
