please help me amend my MILD!

I have had good success with MILD in the past. More than what my sig says; but I only record memorable efforts. But recently I've been failing...

      I do a wbtb
      stay up for 45-50mins
Go back to bed and I repeat this
*I picture A Dream* "I will remember to check reality" *picture doing an RC* "I am dreaming"

but this is where I'm confused. To fall asleep is to lose focus. If you didnt; it would be a WILD. So to MILD you have to let go of your train of thought...and I struggle to 'let go' AND remember to RC

I was just wondering if anyone has anything effective that they do in a MILD; that isnt so thought intensive? i.e how do YOU mild?

because the way I do it takes hard focus to not stray off-track....which means i dont get back to sleep for ages...and I do not RC anyway

ie. internal dialogue? or JUST visualizations or anything really...open to suggestions

also: i read one tutorial for WBTBs...that just said get up...think about LDing and go back to bed. I found this a bit too simple; anyone use this though?

      Thanks heaps

I don't, but Dr. Laberge did a lot of work with WBTB and he said that it worked something like 60% better than DILDs.

I don't do the 45 minutes, I'm just up long enough to go to the bathroom and take a B6 vitamin.

I get up after a few hours sleep then stay up for about 10-15 mins. I return to bed then repeat to myself that "i will realise i am dreaming" till i fall asleep also picturing myself becoming lucid.

This works nearly time i use it.

This is a Mild combined with Wbtb.

Hi, there's no other way than to use focus. Maybe the RC Ur using is not to Ur best interest and U find it boring so Ur mind wanders. U could change the RC to a more interesting one because from experience the more exciting the RC...the more likely U''ll stick with it even when U fall asleep....U'll still be thinking about the RC.

does anyone think...when Im visualising a scene to RC in whilst going to sleep; does it HAVE to be a past dream? If i make up dreamscapes and imagine RCing there...it would keep it interesting; but as effective?
