I'm kind of confused on reality checks. like i have an idea, i would do a reality check every time i walk through a doorway but what would i say to myself to make it a reality check?

It's not exactly saying something so much as it's asking something. Ask yourself at least one of the following: If I pinch my nose, can I still breathe? (If you aren't in public) Where am I, and why? Do I have 5 fingers, and do they look normal? Can I push my finger through my palm? If I look at my watch twice, do the numbers change? (If you have a watch) These are all great reality checks. I'm most successful with the first one, but once again, most people prefer not plugging their nose in public.

Try reading some of the information on the dreamviews main site... It covers the basics about lucid dreaming and reality checking. Also, there is a lot of information on reality checks in the tutorial section of the forum.
