      Strangest thing happened this morning...

It took me a while to get to sleep last night, so my sleep pattern was a little messy.

I was in the middle of a dream, where someone was giving me a tour of my own house, when I heard the alarm clock go off in real life. But it didn't wake me up instantly (I must have been lying where I couldn't hear it very well); I thought, "ah, must be time to wake up" and then "well if it's time to wake up... I must be dreaming!"

I had a full minute of lucidity before being yanked violently out of sleep for some reason or other. I only succeeded in hitting my tour-guide, for no reason.

My alarm clock triggered lucidity... anyone had that before? I reckon it could be a new technique: RLILD!

I'm not sure to be honest, maybe I moved a little in my bed and heard the alarm clock louder, making me wake up.

Maybe I shocked my brain when I hit my DC, lol.

LOL! I have heard of people encorporating sounds/voices into their dreams but I think you're the first I've read who became lucid via an alarm clock. The alarm caught you in REM almost like your own little Novadreamer.

Haha! Sweet. That happened to me once with my blankets. I was starting to wakeup from a dream but very slowly. I could feel my blankets on top of me...I gradually started to wake up. Then Irealized, "IM DREAMIN'! YAYA! ) So I closed my eyes and willled myself back into the dream, just before I woke up completely. And than a nice 20 mins of LDing!
Jen was 13 years old. A fairly normal girl. She spent a lot of time online.
One day, she made a new friend. He liked the same bands, worried about the same subjects.
They decided to meet at the local mall. She went. So did he.
Only he wasn't in junior high.
HE WAS A 1500 LB GRIZZLY BEAR.
1 in 5 children online get eaten by wild bears. And you didn't even know bears could type.

I do that all the time. That is why I cannot always wake from alarm-sounds, even when I feel like I relly needed to..

I can even speak with people on the phone, fully awake, integrating it in the dreamscape I am in, only to forget all about it, if I forget the dream..

      Rather amusing at times..
I know who I am, as I become...
