      Trouble: Remebering things while dreaming

I am and always have had trouble remembering things when i eneter a dream. i cant remember anything ive wanted to do while dreaming that ive thought of in real life the night before. even when im lucid, the only time ive remembered a technique is when my dream becomes so blurry that im already half awake and i can pull out something from my memory that will help me.

thats only happened twice and its really annoying that i cant remember.

can anyone help me with this or have had any expirience of my frustration?

Try writing it down before you go to bed. Maybe thrice, I put it on a post-it note and next to my bed.

I am the same. I can go to bed with the intent to realize i'm dreaming etc etc....

I will remember the dream after, but during the dream i can't seem to remember anything anymore. I can be doing the most weird thing in the world but it never clicks on to me during the dream

When I try to WILD, I will think of (or mentally repeat) my goal. I might even envision myself becoming lucid and thinking about how I will go about accomplishing it.

Like ninja, I've also written 5 to 10 times on a blank piece of paper what I want to accomplish before trying to WILD.. sometimes just the act of writing it down cements the goal in my mind.

that brings back horrible memories of my teachers making me do that when we forgot our homework in gradeschool. *shivers* it worked though! =)

i think ill try that because only the things that ARE cemented into my head show up in dreams. thanks! =)

      i tried writing

      "I will be lucid"

68 times on a sheet of notebook paper and stuck it under my pillow as i went to sleep. I wasnt lucid but i did get a little boost in recall and I had a really awesome dream but i do know why the technique didnt work

I knew i was falling asleep but i didn't have the obsessive thought of lucidity in my mind. thats probably why. I will try it or something else like that technique tonight and i will report back tomorrow morning/after school.

i have no problems remembering things in dreams. its more the weirdness/strangeness that keeps me from doing what i want.
