Favorite Reality Checks

What are your favorite reality checks? I want to know some that I can use. I do the: Hand Check Nose Pinching Check Text/Time Change Check and Strange Occurrence Check What else is there, what is most effective?

Nose pinching. Number one RC, hands down. My nose is always there, while a clock or writing might not be, and with hands, I might be iffy. If I can breath, It's just BAM! If I can't breath, it's just not bam! And whenever I do get a strange occurence, I will always double check with a nose.

Finger counting. The ones i use are that one, looking at the hands, and observation of my surroundings. Haven't used reality checks for a while but today i have done some which will hopefully bring a dild without having to use my technique. I normally have great success when i use reality checks. (like lots of them) I was wondering wtf was going on then because i posted then i looked again and i hadn't posted. (got me excited, i thought i might have been dreaming)

Fingers counting Watch check Hand pinching check World check (checking the ppl around me, the time and all that) But I recently forgoth to do those. Well here you go... Nop i'm not dreaming

And whenever I do get a strange occurence, I will always double check with a nose. i agree. even when i there is a strange occurence, i always check with the nose rc. especially when im about to try somthing dangerous, like jumping off cliffs, or breathing under water, or attacking someone etc. all the other rcs can be explained well, mostly anyway. Especially with dream logic. but the nose rc is exactly this If I can breath, It's just BAM! If I can't breath, it's just not bam!

The digital watch and finger reality checks have always been the ones I've depended on, although I suppose they'd work better if I actually did them...

Watch Check, Nose Check, Hand Check. Ones i do less frequently: - Text checks, Checking for any strange things, Seeing if I can float.

pinching my nose. only one I use. I look at my hands for amusement, but pinching my nose and breathing is all I need. plus I love the feeling of it.

first freefire has a tight motion pic next to his name, second my favorite is the hands, you dont have to do much explaining if someone sees you and asks.

Nose Pitching #1 by far I haven't reality checked in about a year and only RC maybe 20 times in real life...lets just say if I don't WILD the only reason I become lucid is because I do the pinch nose thing. Another one I randomly do is look at the time and look back, but that is just random.

I've got a silver ring on my left hand with an abstract pattern on it, that I always wear (including when I'm asleep). My favourite reality check is looking at the pattern on the ring and seeing if anything about it looks odd, or trying to make it move. Quite often in dreams I've looked at it and the pattern has formed itself into a word or letters/numbers... And of course, if I do this check while awake nobody notices or thinks anything of it, so it requires a bit less explaining than the nose-pinch-breathing thing (which I have never yet managed to remember to do in a dream, anyway...)

As mentioned before in this thread, pinching my nose and breathing, as well as looking at my hands are my absolute favourite reality checks, because they are extremely reliable. Nothing has worked better for my DILD attempts.

nose pinch. Only one I've ever used, has never failed me. And you can also do it without using your hand, so you can do it with people watching and nobody even knows your doing anything. Just block your nose with the muscles at the back of your throat. Some people seem to have trouble doing it that way, but I've been blocking my nose like that since I was a kid. Handy when theres a bad smell around. If it works or I have a doubt about the outcome I then lift my hand to firmly seal it and try again to make sure.

Same here. I've been using mostly nose check and it has always worked perfectly. It's also very fast to do, requires no hard trying (pushing your hand trough a wall might require that) and is unnoticeable so you can do it often. I'll do it now. ..Yeah I'm not dreaming. Works.

I like to pinchey my nose too. people stare when you do it with bad timing...

Nose pinch when alone, hand check when in public (I flex a finger back, or poke a finger through, and sometimes count). I also tend to check my fish for abnormalities, and ask myself how I got to wherever I am (if the answer was "I was sleeping last," I am dreaming).

the only reality checks which have worked for me have been to do with extreme terror / sense of threat and very often death i once checked my bleeding ears and felt they weren't liquidy..... "am i really dying or is this a dream???" has been the only one which has triggered it for me... i havent lucid shennaiganned very often..... but it's always to do with dying in dreams
