That does sound like a strange idea. I'm not sure if it would work but it's worth a try! |

Okay, so really strange idea coming up. I learned to meditate a while ago, really useful for LDs becuase if u meditate right before bed whatever you were meditating on shows up in dreams tons. So my idea is to prop youself up on pillows and meditate and have a wild, sort of, becuase I always fall asleep if I'm laying down, and I read you can do astral projection if you can just stay awake, but I can't sleep sitting up! So it's kind of reclining: halfway between sitting and laying down! Now that I type this it seems sort of stupid but please, give me some feedback even if u think it's a stupid idea! But I'll try it tonight along with whoever else will! |

Meditating about reality checks and stabilization is indeed most helpful. ;] |

If you can break the limiting belief, practice meditating while laying down. This is how I learned, so I've never had the problem of falling asleep. I'm fully awake and aware while meditating, but I'm often at a deep level of relaxation/concentration/awareness that falling asleep isn't an issue. Unfortunately, I've built the habit of keeping myself awake in deep relaxation(meditation), rather then consciously falling asleep(lucid dreaming). I'm currently learning how to do the latter. |

This is pretty much the method I use to try to astral project or WILD. I sleep on my back anyway though and I usually use two pillows so I'm slightly inclined. As for the meditation, I believe it works if you can keep from falling to sleep fully while doing it or staying too awake. It has worked occassionally for me. It usually works best if you wake up after a few hours and then try. |

I read something about slight discomfort being good for LDs. Actually sounds like it would work. |

Go Lucid: a poem (by Yamluver)
In the morning I try to remember the dream I had in which I was a member. The plot was twisted and topsy-turvy, I was a pirate, and I had scurvy. Then I reached up and plugged my nose and that was when I began to suppose I was dreaming, I was, all right. And it was really the middle of the night! I am up for adoption, to have more of these, so PM me, and help me please!
