      Lightbulb WBTB Water Technique

I'm new to LD'ing and I have only tried this technique 4 times. Out of the 4 times I became lucid twice and the effort was minimal. The other benefit is that you'll be awake many times during the night allowing you to record more dreams.

I tried to look up the water method and I only found a thread from 2004, so I made a new one. Hope that's okay.

      How to do it:

Prepare: Make sure the path to the bathroom is clear so you don't trip on anything on the way. Make sure to have your DJ and a light near your bed. You'll need a lamp so you can see what you're writing in the middle of the night.

Drink Water: Drink a litre of water before you go to bed. Don't worry about peeing the bed. If you're over 5 years old then it's likely that you've developed the proper bladder control necessary to hold it.

Goto sleep: I lay in bed with my hands at my sides and remain completely still. I don't move any body part including my eyes. I make sure not to swallow saliva. While doing this I repeat this mantra, "I am having a lucid dream. I remember all my dreams." Try to visualise a dream situation that you'd like to start the dream off in, like the task of the month.

Record Dreams / Washroom: Record your dreams first, then go to the washroom. Try not to do this in the reverse order or by the time you come back to write them you might have fogotten them, or you might feel so relieved from peeing that you'll fall right asleep when you hit the bed. I take about 10 - 15 minutes to do this.

Repeat: You'll likely wake up every 2 - 3.5 hours if you keep drinking enough water.

Here are the two dreams that I had with this technique:

      OBE-Like experience

      Train Dream

This method might be good for those that don't like to use alarms. I don't like the feeling of wondering when the alarm is going to go off. I have a habit of waking up several times before it goes off because I have so much anticipation. This method seems to work good for me.

Anyways, that's the tutorial. It would be great to hear thoughts of other people that have used this method. I could use some pointers to improve as I'm still very new.

Hmm, this seems like an interesting way to force yourself to wake up after each REM cycle. Could work.
