In most WILD tutorials people recommend that you sleep for 3+ hours before attempting to WILD. Does anyone know if it is ncessary to sleep before WILDing, or can it be done as soon as you get into bed. |

"There are only 2 things that are infinite; the universe and the stupidity of mankind. I'm not sure about the universe." -- Einstein
I did once and had a furious nightmare strangling my wife next to me who had turned into a vampire, but it was more like a movie. (like nature trying to say "Don't fuck with me") |

REALITY CHECK
You can WILD at the beginning of the night, but why would you want to? Sleep cycles are 90 minutes in length. At the beginning of the night, there is much NREM, and very little REM. As the night progresses, the frequencies reverse, and the REM becomes more vivid. So why would you want to WILD for 80 minutes, but only get ten minutes of low-quality dream? Why not wait until later, when you will get 40 minutes of NREM and 50 minutes of high-quality dream? |
