Thread: Has anyone been able to Induce a LD while in a car?

hey um, Well tommrow me and my family are going to Florida for a week and where DRIVING from Toronto, Canada. The drive is approximately 24 hours but because we'll probably stop inbetween for gas or something so it may take even longer. I was wondering if anyone had succes getting lucid while in a car.. This may not be possible and if not ill just sleep but driving in a car for 24 hours, ill need something to kill off the time...Im guessing depending on the noise level i may be able to do a DILD but that may not be to realiable... any suggestions?

Well if you can almost choose when to sleep its perfect.
You have the different sleep setting which often helps Lucidity.
You can get someone to wake you at a time you like, or frequently.
And you actually have slight movement from the car which helps too.

I haven't had a lucid in a car before, but some cool dreams on trains and stuff.

I love sleeping in a car, ever since I was a little kid I've always been able to sleep perfectly in a car the ride is relaxing to me.. and yeah I've had some lucids before in cars but cant really remember them because its been a while since I drove long distance in a car.

Sleeping in cars is easy for me, as well. I think the vibrations of the moving car help in some way.

Ive hadd a few non lucid dreams in the car, but i was really tired and had a bad night , or didnt even sleep that night.

Always, when I'm driving long distances, my eyes keep turning off and just close (or it feels like it) so I try to force them open, because I've always wanted to just watch what goes on out there and daydream.

But I could just let it, and dream instead! Perhaps lucid!

Other than that, I've never actually fallen asleep in a car. I'm very certain that I can, I've just never done it.

It does also sound like the perfect lucid enviroment, constant movement and sitting position should up your awareness...
