      Oh.. Damn.

      I've never thought of that!?

Always, when I'm driving long distances, my eyes keep turning off and just close (or it feels like it) so I try to force them open, because I've always wanted to just watch what goes on out there and daydream.

But I could just let it, and dream instead! Perhaps lucid!

      Cool. Thanks.
Other than that, I've never actually fallen asleep in a car. I'm very certain that I can, I've just never done it.

It does also sound like the perfect lucid enviroment, constant movement and sitting position should up your awareness...

I've found that it's dangerously easy to fall asleep while driving long distances. But it's not a sound sleep, I always felt myself fall asleep and woke myself up just when it happened. As a passenger I have a harder time falling asleep. I would try doing something to be really exhausted at the start of the car ride, then try to stay awake as long as you can until you really can't stay awake any longer. Then just lean against a pillow and try a WILD. If that fails, there's always DILD.

Your odds will probably reduced. It's hard to get consistent sleep in any transportation, and even if you do fall asleep completely you might not remember your dreams. It's definitely possible though, I had an LD in a plane once..

I don't see any reason that you shouldn't be able to become lucid if you're able to fall asleep. I don't do a whole lotta sleeping in cars, but I did once have SP in a car.

Imagine hitting SP while being behind the wheel

      D:

Hallucinations, loud sounds and vibrations, combined with a car crash and being paralyzed. Oh and Old Hag aswell.

Then some idiot paramedic wakes you up from the lucid.

As stupid as it would be, it would also be that much more awesome to even attempt to LD while behind the wheel. Think of the pwnage index, people!
Like Maeni said, imagine hitting sleep paralysis in the middle of it, and describing all of this to people afterwards, if you survive!

Someone should start a thread about extreme places to try WILDing, whether they're suggestions or things that people have already tried.

Someone who isn't me should start that thread >.>
