      Time for Dreaming?

For the past 5 months I've really devoted a lot of time into dreaming. I've done recalls, reality checks, Wilds, Milds, Etc. Now that I am back to my last year in High School and juggling a part time Job, i find it exceedingly harder to find time to do these things. Just like mostly everybody, I have commitments and things that stress it me out. Its coming to the point where my recall is fading because of all these different activities in my life.

So, its getting to the point where my recall is fading rapidly and that I barely have anytime to try any techniques. And because of this, frustration is rapidly gaining on me.

I've grown a DEEP interest, like most of us, in this process. Yet, I only have 5 Lucid Dreams to show for it.

I know people out there face a similiar delimma. Has anyone else gone through this same process? I want to hear how other people incorperate LD'ing into there busy schedules. How can i raise my recall and Lucidity count?

I know exactly how you feel. I work and go to school full-time so I'm constantly juggling my busy schedule with my life, relationships, and dreaming on top! The great thing about lucid dreaming though is it doesn't have to conflict with your schedule because you're doing it at night! You have no other commitments and you're free to devote yourself to it.

What I usually do is think about dreaming throughout the day. Even with my busy schedule, it's easy to take a time-out for a minute and do a reality check or tell myself that I'll have a lucid dream tonight. If you find it hard to remember, write a little note on the back of your hand, like "LD", so you'll see it often or set a little timer on your watch to go off every hour.

The key is not to stress. As you've already found out, stress kills almost any hope of dream recall. I know because I have finals this week and I wasn't able to recall one dream until last night! Look forward to lucid dreaming as something that you will experiment with each night. Try to keep your sleep schedule as constant as you can (as hard as that can be sometimes). Spend a few minutes writing down your dreams each morning before school.

Most of all - relax and have fun. Believe in yourself. The dreams will follow.

Reality checks only take a second or two to perform. Dream journaling occurs before school and work even begin. There's plenty of time for dreaming! It is all a matter of perception. It is easy to explain, but hard to convince. How many times do you use a phone per day (text messaging, etc)? If you even look at your phone for five times per day, than I guarantee you have time for reality checks. You have to get the doubts out of your head to see it clearly.

Work is not the end of dreams. Trust me!
