      How comfortable is your bed?

      Hey there guys,

So I've had this thought in mind for some time..."Does a comfortable bed influence Lucid Dreams at all?".

My bed has been through a lot, and is now not quite as comfortable as it used to be. There is kind of a sinking hole in the middle and you can feel the springs in certain areas. I know this influences the way that I sleep. So my story is, so-so comfortable bed (about 6/10), and I honestly practically never have LD's in it. I WILD on the extremely comfy recliner we have in the living room.

What is your bed like? Do you think it affects your LD's?

(Wasn't sure where to put this...feel free to move if needs be)

You know, it used to be soooo comfortable. It still is, but it's not what it used to be.

      I need a new mattress..

I'm not sure if it would effect lucid dreams, but it should have an effect on the amount of dreams. If you're in a really comfy bed, you'll probably sleep deeper, and if your in a really uncomfortable one, you'll sleep shallowly. If you're sleeping too shallowly, you probably wont have many dreams, and if your sleeping really deep, you probably wont remember them. I sleep on a couch (on occasion) and I have plenty of dreams. Its kinda stiff but its still kinda comfy. Its the perfect balance for me.

Mine is extremely comfy. 6 inches of latex foam topped with 3 inches of dense memory foam, polyester microfiber blankets, and memory foam pillows. I have extreme difficulty with dream recall, but I'm not sure what roll the comfortable bed plays in that. I do sleep like a rock on it though, and hardly ever even feel the need to change position.

I'd say my bed is a 6.5/10. It's not that great. It's soft, and bed-like, but it could be so much nicer. Tempur-Pedics cost way too much, so I'm hoping to just get a Tempur-Pedic pillow eventually. But hey, one of my friends sleeps on the floor. And has no door to his room. And has a computer in the bathroom. He's a bit odd.

I have had it for almost 3 years now,
and it's still in good condition.

Hahaha, that's a friend in need right there! But hey, a computer in the bathroom? That's genius man. I like that idea!

ditto to that...which is wat kills my ability to do polyphasic and lucid dreaming. My bed is just so nice and comfy that i fall right to sleep and don't want to get out of bed.

its a verry thick bed with some really nice padding, tempurpedic foam, and some insnae spring count...got a great deal on it.

In fact its the bed that they have at the sheraton. Its the most amazing bed ever.
