That sounds like a good idea to induce some strong emotions in your dreams such as fear and nervousness etc, which in turn is likely to make you think 'I wish I was dreaming / I hope I am dreaming' - I know I think like that during nightmares all the time, and in real life when bad things happen! |

Juicyfruit, the DV protocol is to experiment on these sorts of ideas (see http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=66488 for the Research Guidelines) before proposing new lucid induction techniques. If you think it will work, send an experiment proposal to someone on the staff, and head over to the research forums(http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=32) for discussion and to recruit participants. Once scientific studies have conducted we can establish if it is really able to induce lucidity. I have thought about this concept for a while, since I NEVER became lucid from nightmares but many people apparently learned to lucid that way. So this one in particular makes me believe that when coupling the horror of the movie with reality checking it could be rather feasible. Just not for people like me, who become insomniacs after watching the opening to Are You Afraid of the Dark |
