is it possible that you're just having a dream about being lucid?

about a week or 2 ago i had a lucid dream. i was aware that i was dreaming and decided to fly but i forgot bout the part that i wanted to do something really bad in a lucid dream. also while i was in the air, i tried calling for my dog to come up. "Come on Copper, you can do it", instead of just imagining him flying up.

i was aware bout a minute later that i was losing the dream, so i decided to spin like the mask and i also tried looking at my hand to gain control again but i failed.

i am guessing that not all lucid dream you are fully concious although people do report thinking in full clarity as how they would if they were awake. both you and i just need more experience.

Yes I think you're right - I am dreaming that I'm lucid, as opposed to actually being lucid. I sometimes gain low levels of lucidity but lose it again and get distracted. I get so ditracted in dreams - I am like it real life too. Perhaps if I try not to be like that in real life it will carry over into my dreams...
      Always question reality...
      Lucid Goals:
      1. Build up my dream recall and become extremely lucid
      2. Find a magic wand and start casting spells
      3. Fly (of course) but also create stupidly high slides up in the air with the clouds and ride on them until I get bored
      4. Practice karate with a pro

ummm, last time I checked this is what everyone tries to do? The definition of a lucid dream is being aware in present time inside the dream. How ever, dream control is totally different and that's what most people strive for to get out of lucid dreams.
