WBTB -> anyone else feel this?

Well whenever i try the WBTB technique or WILD early in the morning (usualy about 20minutes before i have to get up for school), i usualy think that i am just daydreaming if i succeed in it. When it starts it really does seem like a daydream (even though i am now aware that it is not a daydream) but then i lose lucidity when i start feeling things like grip, gravity, smell etc.

This is really annoying as i know now that i am actualy successfully WILDing without going through SP and Hypnogic (or however u spell it ) imagery.

      Any tips?

RC, RC, RC! When you WILD always RC if you think it has failed. Once you know it is a dream stabilize it by looking around and noticing details while reminding yourself it is a dream. Then go do whatever you wanted.

and I imagined me rolling over (my dream body) and when I rolled over I would fall into a white room (easier to picture lol) and that was my dream, I felt to roll over slightly. but I went right back in.. I dint think to do a reality check, I just went to sleep trying to DILD lol

You might want to give yourself a longer amount of time for you to WILD 20 minutes isn't really a long time, and I doubt you will see very good results. If you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep a night I would suggest you wake up after 4-6 hours of sleep, VIA an alarm, and then attempt to perform a WBTB or WILD.

In doing so you will increase your chances of success tenfold. Also like shift said doing Reality Checks will greatly increase your chances of becoming lucid.
And last, but not least make sure you are keeping a Dream Journal this is going to help drastically with Dream Recall a key part in every dreamers experience.

i find that even setting an alarm wakes me up too much to try to WILD or MILD etc. I dont know why but i know that when i have only about 20-30mins of sleep left before i have to get up, that i am more successful with WILD's as it is alot easier to get into the dream. I have noticed this on several occasions as 100% of the times that i have woken myself up after 3-6hours of sleep, i find that i am way too tired to even be bothered to perform any technique. I even cant be bothered MILDing and all i have to do there is repeat things in my head lol.

20 mins is way to late, you need to wake up a lot earlier than that if u want a decent lucid dream, or if u want a dream at all.

also your giving advice to someone with more lucid experiences than you? lol
Well did ask for advice. Maybe you should be nicer to people who take the time.

I think the point being made is that Lucids are great at all, but most might prefer them to be longer than a couple of minutes.

well to be honest, i rather 90 minute LDs than a 20 minute one, it gives me more time to do my goals, and i need a long LD now more than ever, ive got tons of stuff to do. i couldnt even do my first thing i want to do in 20 mins(shared dreaming project)

hmm yeah i suppose ur right, but waking up 4-6hours seems to be too early for me, i seem to need more sleep. I try every now and then different hours to get me outa of a sense of dream complacency, but to no avail. I think my willpower is gone when im sleepy as is the majority of users here. Lets face it, id rather go to sleep than having to think about LDing techniques at about 4am lol

6am-6:30am seems to be a perfect time for me, but ill keep trying on the earlier front as i do want longer lucids. this morning's lucid lasted for only about 10mins but it was the most vivid lucid dream as well.
