Maybe I am just unimaginative and fearful to try.
Will we get a special title and badge for our efforts?

there are common generalities, such as encountering alien creatures. Some people see typical "greys", some people see lizard men, some people see "self-transforming machine elves", some people see cat-like creatures... the list is endless. There are common threads, but the variations are limitless.

That's exactly why I think this test is bullshit.

Every mind is unique. Even if we share several commonalities, the differences are the reason we're not a race of clones. Even identical twins are unique in a myriad of ways.

The next time you have an LD, shout out as loudly as you can, "Cynthia Gonzalz, what is Minarez?"

      Minarez is pronounced min-ARE-ez.

You probably won't see Cynthia Gonzalez but will only hear her voice.

If you don't understand what you're being told, keep asking "What do you mean by that?" until you believe you understand the answer fully.

      Good luck!"

      Who's to say I won't see Cynthia?
Minarez is whatever the fuck my mind tells me it is.

Regardless, I'll try it if I become lucid soon just to see what this dude is talking about.

K it's true we all got the same task.

Edit: I'll let the man answer my questions
      Done edit:

& tommo, I didn't explain it properly. The twin body technique is a certain type of WILD, it isn't just what people refer to as a normal WILD.

Oh ok, fair enough, I'll look it up.

Yeh we all got the same one.
But Stratter what are you doing?
Just make sure you guys don't ask questions or answer peoples questions in regards to the task. It will effectively ruin it for everbody becuase then you have preconceived ideas.

Yeh and I think he will be looking for those common threads. Not the specifics.

      Once again....

You know, I have to wonder why anybody would fib about having an LD.

Speaking of our brains being similar... have any of you guys heard of "Old Hag Syndrome"? Victims of "Old Hag Syndrome" awake to find that they cannot move and some sort of demon, troll or witch comes and sits on the chest of the victims, rendering them immobile and making breathing difficult. Old Hag Syndrome is apparently a common phenomenon that occurs to both men and women of various ages and is a worldwide phenomenon that has been documented since ancient times.

I had actually had this experience and then I accidently stumbled across the phenomenon on the internet. Luckily I wasn't scared at all because I knew at the time that it was just hypnopompic hallucination. But it was annoying because I was pinned down and I couldn't think how to get this troll off me so I could get up out of bed and enjoy my lucid dream. I'm still not sure what I will do next time to get rid of the troll. It has happened twice now.

You can easily get rid of the troll, just remember they are your dreams, your mind is creating the troll and it can just as easily get rid of it.

      Before you sleep come up with a plan to get rid of the troll. A few suggestions I have are;
      Teleporting
Stab the Troll in the foot (an apparent source of energy) should vanquish it
Sink through your bed, just make sure you land alright
Have super strength & lift it off

You can do anything like that or more just use your imagination.

If you repeat to yourself that you CAN get rid of the troll for 5mins straight just before you go to sleep then it will happen.

The only reason I could think of when someone would want to lie about having a LD is to get a badge for the month/year task.

I've had this once, but it wasn't a troll or anything on top of me... it was an alien in the room walking closer towards me...

If I hadn't known what it was, I would have been scared shitless and thought that I was experiencing a real alien encounter (it was scary enough knowing what it really was anyway...)

Yep that's the thing Stratter. Depending on your cultural background this thing will change. It is all SP. It's documented that people used to see old hags, then demons, then it changed to aliens which I think it has stayed at.
Just depends on what you interpret this phenomenon as when it happens. Which is a reason this 'lie detection' thing may very well not work.

For example. I say eating cucumbers. Any one of us would probably picture someone at a fridge eating a cucumber or something. Someone in the porno business would probably picture, well you get the idea.

Or someone may picture eating a pickle.

A small child may picture eating celery.

A guy on LSD may picture a cucumber eating him.

A paranoid schizophrenic may picture sitting in a top secret CIA interrogation room because the cucumber was bugged.

LOL you keep saying the things I forget to say! I'll just expand on that a tad.

Schizophrenics. I was gonna say that because they relate things completely different to everyone else. I was reading this study like last week and the.... studiers.... I guess asked the schizophrenic to pair together certain objects they had. He put together a red piece of circle shaped paper, a plug and a lock. He said it was because "they all prevent or stop some sort of action" (the red circle being like 'STOP') I actually thought the same thing lol which is kinda disconcerting. Then in another session he put together a screw driver and a spanner. Not because they were both tools but because they "were both silver". So in a dream it would be the same as the average person but for a different reason, so it could lead anywhere, like searching for a silver mine.
The last one he put together a trumpet, an umbrella, and a whistle because all of them are, in some way, "noise-producing objects".

So yeah, I can see the falling point of this pretty clearly now.

Didn't think about kids but that's a very good point too. It's like those optical illusions where kids see dolphins and sexually mature or pubescent people see a two people having sex.

What an ass you are. If I had wanted the thing posted, I'd have posted it.

Thank you for ruining it. And thank you for letting everyone know that you don't have LDs.

And I can guarantee you that the little weasel who called me a douchbag wouldn't say that to my face.

Thank you for confirming my suspicion that this site is overrun with liars who have never had an LD in their lives. It's the people like you two who always ruin any inquiries into this.

I give you people a chance to prove that you really do have LDs, and immediately someone turns the board over.

It doesn't matter what results anyone reports now. It's ruined. And the person who turned the board over did it because he was afraid I'd unmask him.

Thanks bentendo for the ideas on how to get rid of the troll. I will try that.

Sorry your idea got ruined, arne saknussemm! I'm still gonna try it but it could take me a while. I will see if I can do it next time I'm lucid :-)

Whether there are peeps on here who lie about LDing or not I have no idea coz I haven't spent enough time on the site. But if so, I suspect they'd soon get bored and move on to another forum. I wouldn't worry too much. You can't control what other people do, only what you do :-)
