Thread: Sleep Paralysis with WBTB Technique

this mourning, i was in the SP and i was aware of myself floating and i was getting a massage on my hips and on my back while i was floating, and it felt good. it went on for a couple of minutes and then it stopped. after it stopped, i woke up and then tryed to go back to sleep in a different position. when i was trying to go to sleep, i hear the humming sound and feeling from a distance coming to me, and then next thing i know i am in the paralysis. this time, there was a newscaster in the background talking about paranormal experiences and he was talking to a young boy about hows spirits can interact with him when he wants them to. i was amazed in what i was hearing, because i knew that i was in my bed in SP, and there was no way the TV was on, because i hadn't turned it on. this went on for a half a minute, but the bodily sensations grew so strong that i had to break out of it.

i had like 3 more this mourning too, but not as interesting as the first 2.
i didn't manage to have any solid lucid dreams, but i think i made progress.

any other suggestions?

no one on here has any experience with SP ?

iv had SP when iv woken up, early in the moring. but that was ages ago and i panicked.
in terms of induced SP, its been very 'patchy' for me (ie im very close).

but to answere your question:

the waking world and the dream world are not very different.
in the waking world, our brain collects all the senses recived from our body and creates a 'model' of the world which is sent to our concsiousness.
where as when we are asleep, the brain is recieving no senses from the body, so it simulates them, and thats a dream, simulated senses.

so if you are on the verge of sleep (ie SP), you can very easily kick start a dream by simulating these senses. pretty much what iv said in my post above. just imagine your dream body doing all these things, and before you know it you will find that you are doing them, and you are dreaming

as i have experienced , sleep paralysis will take you naturally to a dream , the things that happens in it will lead to a dream , like for example falling from your bed to the dream world.

i think i just had another one, except this this time i was in a dream. i woke up 4 hours after falling asleep like usual by my alarm, but i couldn't stay awake as long as i wanted. i ended up drifting back to sleep too soon. i was in a car with a girl in my dream, and i was in the passenger seat and i was trying to sleep. i remember the paralysis hit me like a train and i couldn't move. i thought to myself, "just be calm and ride it out, i might have a OOBE", but the body sensations grew too strong and i had to break out of it. when i was out, the girl that was driving said something wierd is going on and suggested that me leave. i said ok, we kissed, and then we started to drive away and i woke up.

the SP in my dream felt exactly the same as real life, i find this amazing. i have been listening to some OOBE experiences lately and the experts on astral travel use SP as they're means to travel out of body, so i am trying to do just that. if anyone wants some links to this just ask me. i will update everyone when i achieve my goal, or if i make strong steps toward it.

Don't move. When the buzzing is over you are .. or should be.. in a dream. Do a reality check everytime.

Yes, this morning for the first time

I had a SP spell unvoluntarily then after freaking out for a little bit I went back to sleep and decided to control it (I always go back into SP if I wake up briefly) so I got paralyzed again and felt the buzzing and the electric currents, I heard some whispers, I just kept saying "I'm dreaming I'm dreaming" and then I try to lift my dream self up from my physical self I imagine myself jumping out of bed, one time I rolled on to the floor and once I somersaulted around my bed (all in my head ofcourse) finally I saw light and found myself in a hallway and knew I had begun dreaming and it was fully lucid. I was aware the whole time, I flew and tried to control some things but then my nasty alarm clock woke me up.... I dont know if that really helps at all (I also wrote a more detailed post about this in Dream Control)

it happened last night 4 more times. i woke up 4 hours after bed and stayed up for an hour and went back to bed. i always try to go to sleep on my back because that always works, but this time it didnt. i fell asleep only to wake up after 3 dreams in a state of paralysis. 2 times i was discombobulated when i woke up and i got scared and broke out of it.missed opportunities.
the other 2 i let ride out and got to the point after the vibrations receded and my eyes were closed each time, but it went from dark, to being completely white in the room with my eyes closed. i tried to think of a dream i wanted to have at this time, but to no avail.

this happened both times after my eyesight goes completely white and the vibrations and sounds recede.

what can i do at this point to make a lucid dream happen or to induce a OOBE? i would really like to know since i'm having them so often these days, and i want to take advantage of it.

i will try again tonight and update you all on the results.

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
