      It's a common way of inducing lucid dreaming, also called "autosuggestion". It works for me, but not all that well. It improves my recall though.

      yup definitely MILD, and definitely works
      TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!
