This is one question I've always wondered. I have a habit of sleeping late(2-3am) but I usually manage the 7-8h of sleep and there are times where I've gotten even 10-11h, but, even in those cases, I can't remember any dreams. It made me wonder whether going to sleep earlier affects your recall and I think it does. My advice is to do a couple more tests, trying to sleep the same time for a couple more weeks and see if you can recall any dreams or have any LDs. If it's still a no, then go back to your normal times and see if anything changes. If you gets your LDs back and can recall your dreams, it means that sleeping later is a bad idea for LDing |

It depends. I don't think it matters how long it is, I have gotten lucids on 4 hours of sleep as well as 14. You have to wake up when you have finished your lucid fun, it's the easiest way to remember your dreams. |

Thanks for your advice, I guess ill just have to test it |

REM could play a factor too....are you not dreaming at all when you go to sleep? or are you having problems getting lucid? |

More sleep = More time to dream. So, yes. Getting less sleep than you should will be highly detrimental to your lucid dreaming. |
