REM could play a factor too....are you not dreaming at all when you go to sleep? or are you having problems getting lucid?

Changes in schedules can effect them too....but like guitarboy said...you can get lucid on practically any amount of sleep.

More sleep = More time to dream. So, yes. Getting less sleep than you should will be highly detrimental to your lucid dreaming.

But what if you sleep for 15 hours and have 20 dreams, but sleep through the last one and you can't remember it? I have taken short 45 minute naps and got pretty vivid lucid dreams, because I don't have to remember through the non-REM sleep.

I never go to sleep until about 3:00am and I have no problems lucid dreaming. Of course I sleep-in until 1:00pm or later. (I can sleep 11+ hours a day if I don't force myself to wake up, lol)

doesnt seem to affect some people, but it does affect me.

When i go to sleep late around 2 am, i remember 1 dream if i'm lucky. When i go to sleep at 11, i remember about 3+ dreams.

      Try it out
