1)You've just remembered to do a reality check. Key thought/feeling: you might be 3 seconds away from being in a really cool lucid dream. "Wow, everything looks really detailed". What you are looking at might be the dream world that you can control. You could be 3 second away from growing wings or blasting fireballs.
Hopefully you feel excited that you are so close
2) Do your usual (for me it's counting my fingers). If it is normal then state "I am not dreaming" or something similar. Sometimes practice: if I was in a dream I would say "I am dreaming" and try to stabilize.
I never got any lucid dreams for around 7 months and now I do reality checks in my dreams (the ones I remember) about once every 3 days
...now I just need to learn to stabilize better >>
These are some great suggestions! Thinking clarifying thoughts before an RC is just as, if not more important than, the RC itself in my book. Glad you found some thoughts that work for you.
I would do more than one RC, though. Probably three is best. And for some people, (this seems not to be true for you, so go with that since it's a good thing to have immunity from,) getting too excited inhibits them from thinking clearly. So be careful to calm down if your dream world starts getting hazy.
Nice thread, good tips. I hope to hear of more LDing success from you in the future.
