Think of the vibrations as a sign that you are on the right track, but not quite there yet. A typical WILD, for me, has several rounds of vibrations. Don't get frustrated or give up if you wake up after some vibrations or hypnagogia. Just relax, and continue doing what you were doing. Typically, you can get back to the same place faster than before.

This is a very common problem. Clairity's guide had a good explanation of what to do from this state:

A lot of people when they first start out using WILD enconunter the same problems as you have. This is not some thing to be worried about because it has made you ask the question which is bringing you one step closer to the answer.

A lot of people tend to force there minds to focus on no thoguhts, and this for the starter is rather hard, they do not realise that this excess concentration is actually keeping them awake.

The trick is to relax and jut to notice, not to focus, it is to notice.

As your body falls asleep you will go through a lot of different stages, as you progress soon your mind starts to wander and you start to see images and hear sounds without actually realising it. Then before you know it you are asleep and dream or worse, awake and cant remember a thing.

The trick is to relax and just to notice, not to focus, it is to notice.

Notice the feelings of your body falling asleep, how does it feel, how do your thoughts wander, how does your chest feel , how long is it inbetween breaths when youare not controling your breathing, you might be surpised.

as you notice your body and mind falling asleep you will relax, as your relax and you keep your mind noticing you are letting your body fall asleep as it normally does by you not getting in the way then comes the fun bit.

      The images and sounds.

AS they kick in you know you are getting closer, soon the vibrations kick in and before you know it you will be heading towards a dream, as you notice these sensations you will move away from the awake worldand into the dreaming one.

So maybe I should reword what I have written twice above, do not force your self to focus because you will jsut get in the way. Instead just notice how your mind and body falls asleep above all else and in its own right you will focus in a more natural way, without this forced tension which will only keep you awake.

Remeber it can and wil take a while, but then again, where and what else do you have planned ? You will fall asleep if you let your self and to be honest, you have all night what do you have to lose if you just go with the flow>
