      Dream Memory

Even after keeping a dream journal for some time now and trying the various techniques for remembering dreams like repeating to myself before sleep that I will remember my dreams, I still struggle to remember them. So, are there any non-published techniques that you guys have found that help you remember your dreams? I have a fairly bad memory in general so that may affect it, I'm not sure. Also, I can only remember a maximum of one dream per night, is this different for you guys?

The lucid aid section may be one place for you to turn. I've read about several supplements listed there which are said to increase dream recall, not to mention the subliminal/binaural/isochronic aids.

      Also, I found this: http://lucidtips.blogspot.com/2009/0...-one-step.html

It involves free association before bed/after waking. I've not yet tried it, and there is only 1 comment which doesn't directly support the validity of this method. It's worth a shot however. The author of that entry would probably appreciate your feedback on his method as well.

Have you tried wake-back-to-bed? The last dream is most often the longest and most vivid, but since it's the last dream, affirmations made at the beginning of the night might be lost by that time. If sleep is interrupted (through wake-back-to-bed), you can refresh your intent to recall your dreams.

Also during wake-back-to-bed, it helps to read successful entries you've made in your journal (long, vivid ones).
