100 Stories of Lucid Success (Your help needed)

Have you ever read about a disease or heard symptoms and started feeling like you had them yourself? Imagine that kind of power working for good instead of evil. It's not hard to imagine, most people's dream journals provide good snippets, which inspire and bring about new confidence in dreaming.

The idea: Constantly reading about how fun and easy lucid dreaming is will help develop the optimum mindset for LD success.

The challenge: Write a true or fictional story (a paragraph or two), with the focus being on the ease or joy of lucid dreaming. Keep it positive! Make up characters or do whatever you have to do so that I can live vicariously through your success! Put your story in another colour.

I am walking across the grass field next to my old school. I am thrown off balance by the pulsing of the wind as it kicks up the freshly fallen leaves from beneath the trees. One particularly high flying leaf is shot like a rocket into the sky. I follow its path against the violet sky. Violet... what a strange colour for the sky. No sooner do I process the thought than the pull of gravity from the dream state sucks me in. The transition is natural, effortless, expected, it is like a friend guiding me from the rocks of a stream to it's peaceful banks.

The more I realize how easy it was to become aware of my dream, the deeper my lucidity becomes. The air is cool and sweet. The wind dies and the trees become still as if waiting for new instruction. I stand with the universe at my fingertips in an open and beckoning field.
Maybe, just for a second, you'll be awestruck.
      ...do you feel it to?

Ummm, okay. I'll post a snippet out of something I wrote for my comp class, last semester. In DJ format, because I can.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I looked out my fourth floor window, putting both hands against the cool sleek glass. It’s time to fly, I thought to myself, anticipation rising from the pit of my stomach. I put my face against the hard glass. Concentrating, I began to move through the pane of glass. The glass stretched as I pressed against it, smoothly conforming to my hands, face, and body like a sheet of slick putty. Having no time to waste, I savored the sensation for only a moment before propelling myself forward and up; the seemingly opaque sky rushed to greet me. The experience of flight and the overwhelming feeling of happiness that accompanies it overtook me. This never gets old, I thought, as the warm air flowed across my smile.

As I flew over Erickson Field, I could distinctly make out each perfectly shaded blade of green grass on the hilled valley beneath me. Likewise, from my lofty viewpoint, I could make out the rough sandy textures of the many red bricks that lined the Hall. The detail of the world was super-realistic. Everything, from the pleasant smell of the field to the whooshing wind that played gently across my ears, appeared just as real as, if not more real than, waking life. I was dreaming. I had known I was dreaming from the start. In fact, that was the whole point.

This is made up, but i would love to have an LD like this.

I find myself in my bed and i get up, its dark outside. I notice the moon is extremely close and i could see the surface of it as clear as day. My girlfriend is laying in my bed next to me, she wakes up and says "baby come back to bed" and i tell her "i want to show you something." I then close my eyes, spin around and imagine a giant cliff in space that we will sit upon. "Wow! this is amazing!! how did you do that?!" she says. I reply "I said i would show you the stars one day, here they are"

As we sit there, we can see comets fly by, so close we can almost reach out and grab them. I said "watch this" i close my eyes and imagine a pink nebula shaped like a heart, it appears infront of us. "Oh my god! that is so sweet!" she says. The stars are bright and the planets are as close as our reach. Stars flutter with color..I imagine a blanket for us to lay on. We lay there the rest of the time watching stars pass and comets fall. I say "Nothing beats the beauty of nature" and it ends.

A "hypocondriac" is the word you are looking for.

Hahah, sorry about that. Excelent idea though. But why stop at 100?

That was an inspiring dream, Abra.

Let's see what I can drag up. My most wonderful lucid dream was...
      *Cracks knuckles*

I am in a twilit cityscape. I realize I am dreaming...

My body goes limp and is lifted high into the air, and am overcome by a feeling of utmost joy, 101 times greater than any I have felt before. I hang there, suspended in the nirvana, the greatest ectasy flowing through my body, and a grin lights my face as I stare into the magnificent sunset. I was gently lowered down onto the dusty asphalt.

The scene had increased exponentially in vibrance and vividity, and I jumped for joy in celebration of my first lucid dream. I hopped into a convenience store yelling, "I did it, I did it!" I suddenly lost lucidity from the excitement (No cause for alarm) and the dream resumed it's normal activity.

As I came to an intersection, I suddenly regained lucidity. This time, I decided to have a little fun. So I whirled about and spotted a resturant. I tried slamming and breaking a glass door, but failed. I then made up my mind to walk through the glass. I moved up and pressed my forehead to the smooth glass, and closed my eyes. My head began to slide through, and the rest of my dream body followed suit. I spun around and walked out into the crisp night air.
I began looking for a challenge suitable for my newfound transparency skill. My eyes rested on another resturant, named "The Crab Cooker" One of its corners consisted of a fishtank, with about foot-thick glass panels on the inside and out. So I walked over and repeated the maneuver. Walking through this glass was like walking through jello. I immediately woke up upon walking through the other side.

      Not too shabby, I hope?

Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.

      Trouble at the Factory (DILD)

They all gathered at the front gate, armed, as I continued walking towards them, every step giving me greater realisation of lucidity and the fact that I was dreaming. They aimed their guns and opened fire - I didn't dodge it. I didn't have to. I just kept walking as the bullets hit me and didn't feel anything. As I got near one I would finish him in one hit and continue walking towards the rest.

I waved my hand towards the final three, exploding them into nothingness.

I flew out the gate, and woke up.
