Can listening to music stop Lucidity?

      Hey guys,

I regularly listen to music when I am sleeping. Not heavy metal and stuff like that, only ambient stuff such as Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and Radiohead.
It always helps put me to sleep and relax, however I was wondering if it will effect my chance in becoming lucid? I know it doesn't effect dreams as I still dream with music on, however that may be as my music finishes before I dream...

Thanks guys, feel free to discuss the music you listen to whilst sleeping,

If it helps you relax, then listen to it. Keep in mind, though, that it's healthier to sleep with less external stimulus than more. So I'd prefer to program it to turn it off after ~30 minutes. To each his own.

Honestly, I don't see any reason why music would prevent you from lucidity. Because that's the same as claiming music prevents you from realizing you are dreaming. :O

Come to think of it, it actually could HELP. Lets say that from now on, every time you hear or think about music you do an RC, then in dreamworld, when your senses allow in the music from your RL room, you'll do an RC, and BOOM Lucidity.

The next step after this would be to practice sensory overload, so that the music won't wake you up
