So, I was thinking. A DEILD happens when you picture the dream you just had when you wake up, without moving. But what if, you did the same thing, without trying to enter the same dream you were just previously? |

a DEILD doesn't require you to re-enter the previous dream; it's just a bit easier to return to something than visualize different surroundings. when i've DEILD'ed successfully in the past i've mostly entered a different setting, so it's definitely something you could try. some people use this to have continuity, but you can be flexible with your approach. |

When I DEILD, all I do is stay still and keep my eyes closed. I don't think about a dream scene, and I usually end up somehwere different. You absolutely could imagine a dream scene forming around you as you attempt to DEILD though. Give it a try and see what happens! Good Luck to you! |

If you were willing to, or had time to do a DEILD, you should definitely go for the DEILD attempt. Time to do a DEILD is hard to come by for me, so I take any chance I get. |

The only time I perform or attempt to perform a DEILD, is when I am in already within a lucid dream and I feel myself waking up. I'm basically, terrible at keeping myself within the lucid once I begin to fill myself waking up, so I don't usually bother with stabilization techniques. When I can remember to do it, I DEILD after lucids. |
