Haha, that's realy cool man. I often thought about that, but the permenance of tattoos often dissuades me. Also, as for getting a tattoo in a language one doesn't speak is a very risky thing to do. Like, fuck, I personally wouldn't get a tat in a foreign language unless I lived in that language's country for a few years.

Still, it looks really cool man.

I'd love to have a small tattoo on my hand like that. It would make RC soo much easier

I don't need one, since I have very distinct scars and markings on my hands it is easy to see since usually in my dreams my hands are quite normal.

if youre going to do it yourself sterilize the needle with a match and wipe off the ink with a paper towel soaked in hydrogen peroxide. And put neosporin on that shit until its fullly healed

Although I have never tried using it as an RC, I think that scars would work just the same. I have a scar on my pinky that is very easy to see. I will try and use that the same way you would use a tattoo.. you think that would work?

I was thinking the same idea, only I had no idea what to put on my hand or where. Isn't the hand one of the most painful areas to get a tattoo? Also, what about the palm of one's hand, as that then could be easy to hide from judgement.

I'd say back or sides near the ribs are the most sensitive places to get yourself a tattoo. Hand is quite easy. Secondly, I personally think one shouldn't even consider taking a tattoo if he plans to hide it in any situation.

Thanks cL0cKradi0 for the idea. I have been having so much trouble remembering to do reality checks but I decided to draw a symbol on my hand and it reminds me all the time. Not quite brave enough to get a tattoo, but maybe one day.

That's really solid advice, thank you. I think, since it's just intended to aid in lucid dreaming, that simply writing the "tattoo" on my hand every day I don't need to do something formal is a much better fit to this scenario.

i dont see why a scar wouldnt work
what i do is whenever i see my scar during the day when im awake and i stop and ask myself if im dreaming and it will usually carry on into the dream world, so whenever you look at your scar during the day just check to see if you are really as conscious as you think you are

It looks cool! The tatoo I mean! I use a cross made with a pen for exact same thing!

Well, I've read some about it, and it ain't a good idea. First, India Ink is not the best tattoo ink to use. Almost all prison tattoos are made with india ink, and they look for the most awefull. Even worse if you do it your self.

Some guy adviced me to do it profesionally, not with indian ink.

I advice that too. It's long-lasting. You don't want to ruin it. Except if you know it will be how you want it to be, go ahead.

lol, i thought i was the only one to have something even similar to this.

i dont have a tatto, but on the other side of my left hand, every morning i right RC (reality check) and do one everytime i look at it
