Stephen LaBerge's trance induction CD track

I just wanted to share my experience with this CD track. If you have LaBerge's book Lucid Dreaming (I got it from amazon.com used books for about $3, incl. the CD), the track I've been using is the 6th one-- trance induction (night). I started using it 3 nights ago, listening to the track after WBTB, and had immediate results. The first night I had a vivid dream where I was in a classroom with other members of the DV forums, but I didn't go lucid. The second night I progressed to a dream where I knew I was waiting in someone else's dream, but I wasn't lucid-- I was just dreaming that I knew I was dreaming. Last night (the third night), I went lucid and had a fairly good run. I haven't had an LD in about a year, so my control was rusty, but it was still quite excellent.

I've never really tried to induce LD's before I joined this forum, and since joining, I've found that the WILD and MILD techniques don't work well for me because I have trouble falling asleep while concentrating on something specific. If anybody has this same problem, I highly recommend giving this CD a try. Although it's called "Trance Induction," I don't really feel like I'm in a trance when I listen to it, but it puts the intention of lucid dreaming in your mind and guides you through some relaxation imagery and imagery conducive to LDing. It's similar to MILD, except that you don't have to do the concentrating yourself. You just follow along with the track, and at the end of 15 minutes when it ends, you let your mind relax and slip into sleep-- no concentration on a specific idea, image, etc. required.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share that. Hopefully it will help some of you who have the same problems with concentration that I do.

thats pretty cool

ill definetely look into it since ive been wanted to get a CD like this for a while. i havent tried music to induce LDs, but i have music that induce sleep which i sometimes listen too if i have difficulty falling asleep, and it works well so this could too!

If it works through trance, then it's bound to work, the subconsious is far more open to suggestion during trance. I must get round to reading his book, I really must.

Update: I've discovered that the trance induction track is 13MB as an mp3 (of course it was even larger as .wma), which is too big to be sent as an attachment through most email providers. I'm currently trying to figure out how to compress it below 10MB so that I can send it to those who want a copy. If anyone has a suggestions about how to compress an mp3, they would be most welcome.

Alright, time to streamline this process a bit. I've secured some server space, so you can now download the track here. Just click on "Trance Induction..." and save it to disk. It's a big file-- over 13MB-- since the track is over 15 minutes long, so if you have dial-up, be prepared to wait around a bit. Hopefully this will help everyone, since I can't send the same file to two people at once. Happy LDing!

ive used the track two nights in a row, and both times it's brought me into a very deep trance state. i have really enjoyed it, hopefully with further use it will induce a lucid dream. thanks again peregrinus

Alex,
The track is of a man talking the listener through some relaxation and image techniques. If you're looking for background music or something similar for your tapes, I doubt this would work. Having two people talking at the same time would be pretty confusing.

Being talked into it is the best way to induce trance in my opinion because music is all good and well, but it can didtract you're mind.

No he does not. The point is to fall asleep while the track is playing. He then simply says tonight be lucid and aware, now fall asleep.

Bascially he doesn't bring you out, he lets you drift off to sleep.

...then you wake up later, hopefully with a lucid dream remembered.
