I read the other day that an old inventor (cannot remember which one) used to lucid dream in order to help with his inventions. The method he used was to put a penny on his forehead, so that when he finally enters sleep, the penny falls off and makes a noise resulting in a slight return of consciousness. Prior to reading this, there was one occasion where I was extremely tired and didn't want to fall asleep; so lying upright in my bed, I balanced a bottle of water on my head so that it would wake me back up if it fell. It worked - scaring the shit out of me in the process aha. |

What you did is to be so aware of the bottle that it maintained your conciousness I used this similar way with leaving a dim light on and watched the dream hover from the light on the table to the area of the window..happened twice in a row but for me that was very exahusting because it leaves the sleeper unable to fall into prper sleep. |
