      dream recall alarm clock

      Greetings Dream Friends,

I want to improve my dream recall. It has been suggested that I do this by lying in bed for a few minutes without moving after I wake up. Unfortunately, if I do that, my alarm clock will be blaring in the background the whole time. Not conducive to dream recall.

SO what I need is an alarm clock that rings once and then stops. Ideally it would then ring again in ten minutes, but that is not necessary because I can just use a second clock. But I DO need the first clock to shut up after it rings without needing my intervention.

      Any suggestions?

Do you sleep with a computer in your room? If so, take a look at this thread.

I don't have a computer in my bedroom at the moment, but I could put my laptop in there.

Well if it's just recall you seek, and not a DEILD, just hitting the snooze button won't harm anything. Just as long as you submerge yourself in the dream before starting the day.

But the dream recall tutorial here says don't move at all when you first wake up. I can still recall pretty well even when I have to grope around for the off button. But I would like to not have to do that. Seems an easy enough feat for technology. But, alas, it appears nobody has made an adjustable alarm that works in this way.
