Lucid Dream, Sleep Paralysis, or Somewhere In-Between?

So I was hoping someone might have an idea of what this was and how I can improve. Thanks in advance!

Anyways, I took a nap after class (around 11) and woke up. I was still tired, so I decided to go back to sleep. I still could sense the 'dream' feeling, so I decided I'd try to WILD a bit. I lied down and tried to let the dream sensation get stronger. I felt it come up, but I think I tried to 'force' it or something.

I still kinda felt awake, but maybe I just thought I was, so I tried to open my eyes. Immediately I could feel that my eyelids were really heavy. I could only barely open them. I then tried to move my arms. Just like the eyelids, they felt really heavy; I could only lift them a couple of inches. Then I thought maybe I'd try to make something happen, since if this were a dream, I should be able to. I think I saw a piece of paper above me and could move it as my eyes moved. After this, I think I just fell asleep again.

So what I'm wondering is if this was just some kind of sleep paralysis (though I would expect that would restrict ALL movement) or if maybe I was in some kind of very light lucid dream, or perhaps something else. It's not a big deal or anything, but any thoughts would be appreciated!

I actually had something like this last night. Our puppy woke me up about 6 hours into sleep, a spot where I seem to hit REM pretty consistently. So I decided to attempt a WILD, something I've never pulled off. I laid down, felt my body numb out, and that's as far as things went. After something like 15 or 20 minutes I decided that I just needed to forget it and get some sleep and found my body felt about the same way.

No lucidity though, so I suppose its different. If you were controlling things that aren't there in real life though, it sounds like LD.

If the things were there, you're probably telekinetic and should get my frisbee from on top of this building on campus for me.

Yeah it sounds to me like you were right on the edge of full blown SP. The paper you were able to manipulate was most likely some HI. I am able to control my HI to a certain extent and it sounds like this is what you were doing. When I first began to hit SP, I am able to move my limbs, but they get extremely heavy (like you described).
