New Movement Free Reality Check - What do you think?

Ok, let me know what you think about this as a reality check, and as a side note, this reality check works great for me every time... its a movement free reality check... I don't know for sure, but I don't think you could ever fail it either... but let me know what you guys think...

I wear contacts, but i take them out when I sleep... when I wake up in the mornings to WILD, I have my contacts out, and I leave them out. I go back to bed but remind myself that if I have good vision that its probably a dream.. sure enough, the few times I have used this, I didnt even have to reality check.. I just knew I was in a dream because I went from being awake, straight into a dream, and could see perfectly fine.. I was immediately lucid and didnt even bother RC'ing further... The amazing thing was that everything was incredibly clear, like i had better than perfect vision, and very very HD detail... i was like wow, this is insane..

Also, if you wear glasses, you could try taking them off during the dream to see if you still have perfect vision, but this wouldnt be a movement free RC... dunno..

So I know this is a "special" RC, because only certain people can use it.. but do you think this is something that would be beneficial to you guys?

Wow I never thought of something like this even though I put my contacts in every morning too. I'll definitely try it out this week.

Its something i have used the last 2 lucids.. I just reminded myself before I went to sleep that if I had perfect vision, that it would be a dream, because my contacts are not in... this works much better when wilding than dilding, because you go from conscious directly to asleep, and you go from knowing your contacts are out to 2020 or better vision... If i have a false awakening, i just open my eyes and look at the room, if everything is still blurry, im awake for real, if i can see perfect, its a dream/obe... let me know if anyone else uses this or has used this before...

Thats a really good one atkins! I can't use it personally, though I'm more than certain it'll be an effective one for those that do wear contacts.

I wonder if this could be modified to include things like, say, a watch?

I hope so, but how would a watch incorporate?

That's actually a pretty cool way to go about it.

I almost wish i had bad eyesight now.

I was thinking around the lines of being able to feel whether or not the watch is there, and know you only wear it when you are awake. That's if you don't wear it in your sleep of course.

Interesting for the contact RC! Hmm...I do wear contacts...But, IDK how that would work, I do get what you're saying though XD. I mean, I assume they're on in the dream, since the dream is during the middle of the day, which is obviously when I wear them. Actually...in my dream today, my contact fell out, and I caught it in my hand...and, yeah..looking back now, I still had perfect vision . I guess I don't think about vision so much in dreams. I'm the lucky kind of LDer that just randomly gets them relativly often. Could work when I "wake up and fall back to sleep" (WBTB), that's just what I always call it...because that's how it goes!

I wear a watch all of the time...but, I don't think it would work. If I ever look at my left wrist to see the time in a dream, it's always there, since I always wear it. I don't think this would work, really . Unless I ASSUME it's not there when I go to see it, and if I see it, then I know it's real ...
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

Another thing I thought of was maybe wearing ear plugs to bed, or a blind fold.. and when you can hear, you know your dreaming, or when you see, you know your dreaming... If these are things you never use while awake, then it would make sense.. dunno though, the contacts thing has worked for me a few times lol

Hey! That is a good idea. I wear glasses, and take them off at night. I will try this. I usually have either perfect better than HD vision, or horrible blurry vision, 10 times worse than without my glasses. In my lucids I have perfect vision also, but don't know if I wear them in it, I will have to check.
I will let you know if it works! + thanks

That's a pretty good idea, but i don't wear contacts I do the RC where you shut off your nasal passage and close your mouth and try to breathe, that works good enough for me, and you can do it no matter what your vision is like. Some people just can understand the concept of it though.
