      Same Mundane Dreams

my recall has been ok lately. i can remember 1 or 2 dreams per night. however, my dreams are usually about school or preforming some other mundane task.

how can i make my dreams more interesting? i have only had 1 lucid that i can remember. i used the digital clock reality check and it worked perfectly. however, i did wake up soon after.

that was months ago. now, i can never remember to check a clock or do any kind of rc. it seems like i havent been able to dream about anything but school lately lol.

Why not check out the Break your dryspell thread? I made a post about dreaming about work *work is mundane!*, and what I'm doing to end this mundane dreaming cycle.

      clicky here for my post

Watch action movies, or read exciting books. It may not lead to lucidity, but it's a good way to amp up your dreams. I spent a few weeks watching martial arts and action movies and it really helped. I started having dreams where I was characters in those movies, which were a lot more fun than the ones where I just saw myself browsing the forums

lol. i watch movies every day. well last night i remembered more dreams than usual. 3 parts were in places ive never been before so thats an improvement. i even remember what some of the characters said.

i didnt question reality in the dreams though. still got some work to do...

*shrugs* That usually works for me. Are they action movies? or just movies in general? Also, I've found that a new job or something that i'm learning throws my dreams off where I tend to dream about doing that thing.

I have to agree with this. After playing video games at the end of the day, I often found myself having dreams about being the character in them. Metal gear solid was one of them. It takes getting mentally into it of course.

Also, Freud had a theory called "day residue" which says that 1%-2% of our daily lives, becomes part of the nights dreams. Just thought that would be somewhat helpful.

      Oh and... Break your dryspell
