      Exercise to SP?

Ok, I've seen some other threads on this but:

If you exercise a couple of hours before a WILD attempt, would it be much easier to achieve SP? Even f you exercised the previous day? Seeing as you're supposed to be mentally stable and physically exhausted I don't see anything wrong with this, but I also haven't seen it mentioned much. I run a few miles on Monday and then train on Saturday (today) so I think I might look into this a bit more in terms of Dream Recall, Lucidity and achieving WILDs.

I believe so. I generally dream better after a long day of exercise. You seem to 'sink' into your bed much easier.

Also a great reason to just get exercise.

Give it a shot and tell us about it. Make a little experiment out of it; I've never focused on just getting to SP before, as I'm always looking forward to getting to the actual WILD, but I'd like to see your findings.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

Ok lots of things came up so I might experiment again next week.

Well as far as SP is concerned I am very confident that exercise helps. For this reason I've gotten to where I do push ups every night right before I go to bed, and I don't worry about a count (though I do keep track of how many I've done for motivation's sake).

The point is, I just push myself until I literally can't do another pushup; my muscles just give out. After that, I can climb into bed and go completely still and my arms and chest will very easily enter SP. If I had a treadmill I'd use that as well, but unfortunately I don't and the floor in my house is very squeaky if I run in place...which annoys others who are already trying to sleep

Even though the rest of my body takes longer to reach SP this way, just having something be fully paralyzed seems to make my brain think "oh! I should probably shut down the rest, too" so it still speeds up the process a lot.

I've heard that laying on the floor for a while will help one reach SP faster, I've tried it and it seems to work for me
