      DILD Deficiency

I've had two dreams recently where I've said to myself in the dream, "Huh. That's weird, I must be dreaming." but afterwards the dream continues on like normal. I know I'm not giving you a lot to go on, but, any help here?

I wasn't aware even though I had realized, in dream, I was dreaming.

Sounds like you just need practice questioning your surroundings and being aware of the state you find yourself in. More practice is my prescription, nothing more I can say on what you've given us.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

Hm, another thing, you know how sometimes we answer to stuff in waking, and when we do, we don't even know what we answered to or what we answered... I would say its pretty similar, saying "I'm dreaming" =/= "knowing I'm dreaming"

You could use intention setting to help target your in-dream awareness and response. If you have dreams where you recognize you are dreaming but fail to perform a reality check or become lucid, spend some time before bed remembering yourself in that position. Rather than seeing yourself continue the dream unconsciously, imagine yourself performing a reality check after recognizing you are dreaming.

Hopefully this will help you remember to capitalize on your momentary recognition and become lucid in future dreams

It's not so uncommon to dream you are lucid without being lucid at all. Read about that many times and experienced it a few times, too.
