      Theta Binaural Beat (Youtube link)

I didn't create this, but binaural beats usually don't work for me and this one really works! Really well, too, I might add.

Personally, the 9:09 length is about five minutes too short for me, so I downloaded it and duplicated a certain part to extend it for my own personal use. I don't have the author's permission to post a download though, so you're on your own there. I just thought I'd mention that in case some people will be apt to say "it ain't working" when really they just need it to be longer.

Anyway, here's the video. As usual, listen with stereo headphones, close your eyes, and remain completely relaxed and still. Your brain should enter Theta (sleep) mode no problem.

Hope everyone finds it useful! Sure helped me out, so I figured it was worth sharing.

I think I will try this too. If it has worked for you, LiveInTheDream, I take your word for it

I tried this before, and I was very relaxed, however I did not close my eyes. You should call this a BBILD. (Binuarual Beat Induced Lucid Dream)

The binary beats do not induce a lucid dream. They simply aid you to relaxation.

No, but the second time I listened to it I saw lights flash and I felt my dream body coming on, and then I opened my eyes in the dream...just as the song ended, which made the monitor exit fullscreen and shine bright in my eyes, waking me up.

But I was sitting up that whole time in a chair, and I reached the dream within the song's 9:09 length. That's WAY faster and more efficient than I've ever gotten a completely natural WILD to go before.

Well technically, that is still an LD because she was aware that she was dreaming... So it does in fact help induce the dream.. In a way but kind of indirectly as well.

Binary beats are Lucid Aids and should no way be confused with an induction method.

You cannot have a Lucid Dream just by listening to binary beats alone. You need to couple it with an actual Lucid Dream induction method such as MILD or WILD. Therefore the user induced the Lucid Dream by said method and used binary beats as an aid.

I see a lot of people on this forum coming up with often outrageous induction methods. When most of them end up being an induction technique that already exists or in this case an aid.

Mrdeano's right, guys. I didn't mean to put this forward as an induction technique; in fact, I just now realized that this thread isn't in the 'lucid aids' section, which is where it really belongs...I thought I had posted it there

Edit: for it to work it needs to be in high quality as well

Yep, I was just sitting in my chair. I slid down a bit so that I could totally relax and not fall over, though.

Edit: for it to work it needs to be in high quality as well
I don't see any high quality version of this one, but it's already in stereo. Actually, several hours after I posted that video, I found a slightly longer, HD version, though. You can use it if you want to.

EDIT: You'll have to click on the youtube icon in the video to get to where you can watch it in HD; apparently the embedded player doesn't give you that option.

I've already tried that on the first one; no difference. Not a problem with the HD version, though.

      Thanks for the looped link!

It puts your mind in the Theta state, which is receptive to dreams.

Some of you probably heard of Idoser, a software that said to emulate the effect of certain drugs with no health risks effects by using binaural beats. It is largely viewed by most people who tried it as a placebo. I wonder if this would fit in the same category.

Sorry for my skepticism, I'll try it later this week, but I have my doubts.

Not every binaural beat works for everyone. Call that a placebo effect if you want to, but to me it just seems like different people's ears and brains are bound to react slightly differently, and sometimes this difference is enough that the brain won't conform to the input wavelength. Too many factors go into that for me to list...

But remember I couldn't get any binaural beats to work for me before this one, so I sure didn't go into this with confidence that it was going to make a difference...which doesn't sound like a placebo effect to me.

I've wondered that too; so far I don't know whether or not it's good for your ears, though. I haven't had any problems from listening to a 10 minute binaural beat once or twice throughout the day, though.

And I make my own sig/avatars, btw. If you were referring to my sig and not someone else's...you didn't say whose

Well I guess B.B.'s can't be too bad because there hasn't been many complaints about it. You should expirement isochronic tones with me. I could probably test it tonight. I'll pm u tomorrow about my results 8)

if I can ask this without becoming a thread-jacker (to my own thread, too lol)...what are isochronic tones? Like, how they different than binaural beats? I've only heard of them, not seen them explained...

You don't need stereo headphones. Instead of sending beats in each ear, it's more of a sequence of beats.
