Best Way To Attaining Lucidity Throughout The Day

Hello i need to have lucid dreams atleast 1 time a night. for that i need practice. to practice i need induction techniques

so i need induction techniques that i can use. i want one in the morning when i wake up one when i am at school (i am on a subury valley school) one when i come home before eating, one after eating before i go to bed. one when i am in bed. mayby do a wbtb to.

well i think u wil get it by now i need to learn it as fast as possible there isnt anyother option.

i understand i cant force lucid dreaming but i already saw myself there there is no need to doubt

Why do you 'need' lds at least once a night? Some monster gonna get you if you don't? I think that only experienced LDers will have LDs that often, and even they may have 'dry spells' ie not having any lds for ages. If you're new, expect not to have lds for some time. Then you will have your first LD. Even after that you may have quite a lot of time between lds but that space of time will become narrower and narrower. Eventually you will have several long LDs a week. By then you will probably be experienced. But that may be AGES after your first LD.

Point is, it's gonna take time get to that sorta point.

If you're new (ie only had a few lds, like me) I reccommend trying several techniques alongside dream recall to see what suits you most. Some people give up at this stage but you're gonna have to be patient to get good. Pratice the techniques and you will get good, but some may work better for you than others. DILD tends to be the most successful (check the ld counts if you're not sure). You may start to get LDs on a regular basis. By then you may find the technique that suits you. Pratice it, but don't forget to pratice a few others as well as dream recall.

If you want pratice during the day, RC every few hours or so. But as far as I've found there's no such thing as a daytime induction technique, or a miciral induction technique that works for everyone.

So be patient, and pratice techniques. Then you will get good. Persevere. The road can be bumpy at times.

Look forward to the destination, but enjoy the journy.

      Hope you ld soon .

WILD ain't foolproof. Some people can't get their body asleep, some people fall asleep and become unaware of their dreams, and some get terrified by the HH and wake up purpously. It's not one of the successful methods (again, check LD counts), but it's worth giving a try.

Other nighttime induction techniques FILD and DELID. MILD will also help.

Some people WILD when having a nap in the afternoon but it only works in the afternoon and you'll need a spare couple of hours.

I do reality checks like every hour at school and every 10 minutes at home. In the last couple of months I've only reality checked like 3 times in a dream. So that's a 3:bizillion ratio of dream RCs to waking life RCs. Mental reality checks are equally as useful as physical ones. I do both. Ask yourself if you remember how you have got to where you are, and whether you recognise your environment. I think dream journaling is the most important thing to do to improve awareness and memory in dreams. Obsessing over the topic of lucid dreaming might help, but I remember one dream I had recently where all the characters including myself were talking about lucid dreaming, yet I didn't reality check once. That is probably an overkill of lucid dreaming thought.

If you want a routine suggestion: do a reality check every time you wake up. record any dreams you remember when you wake up. That includes when you WBTB. Do regular RCs during the day when you are busy. When you get home you might want to meditate, perhaps while listening to binaurals or subliminal lucid dreaming audio. Read stuff on DV and also post stuff. And importantly have a regular sleeping time. You can sleep til late one day of the week, but any more than that one day will probably mess up your body clock or make you exhausted during the week.

WBTB + WILD may guarantee a LD every time it's done depending on your skill level. I've done WBTB/MILD and had a 4/4 success rate
The burden of proof lies with the one making the claim

Good that you are doing RCs every hour, I personally do not have the willpower to do them. WILD is foolproof if you completely master it. There are very few people who have mastered it to that extent, one that I know of is BillyBob from this forum. At least I think he has mastered it, he has been doing it for a long time. check out his tutorials.

Horsey, how do you do your MILD? I stated doing MILD when I decided to come back here and start anew with LDing, but I don't exactly get he second part because I have not had any successes with it yet.

      Congrats on your first LD!

I believe reality checking is extremely important the success of the lucid dreamer. Being constantly aware of where you are, what you are doing and why you are doing it is the best way to get LDs. A reality check is more than just a finger count or a nose pinch. It is a serious inquiry of oneself and one's enviroment, a test of whether stimuli are internal (dreaming) or external (waking).

There is no "limit" to how many lucid dreams one can have, or the rate at which one can have them. Mental blocks like the lack of confidence are keeping many dreamers from having lucids. It's good that you are aiming high!

Keep at it! (and nice progress)

To have long lucids, i've read that the best things are:

Dream spin to improve staibility and transport to another location
Rubbing hands to increse clarity and stabilize dreams
Using dream senses to increase clarity and stabilize dream
Staying detached from the plot to stay lucid
Commanding 'increase clarity' or 'increase lucidity' to, well, increase clarity.

It's good that you're getting lucid though. These tips above I have read on parts of the forum. Most newbies have short lucids.

      Oooh staying detached!! Definitely.

I remember a long time ago when I was still under my old name on here, I had a perfect lucid but toward the end i was getting sucked into the plot and lost control and eventually lucidity.

A couple of nights ago, I became lucid and decided to stay detached from the plot. I had my best LD yet, all vivid and all. The only thing I missed out on was control.

Another thing to do is to not think 'this seems oh so real'. Chances are, the 'oh so real' bit will be believed. Guess what happens next. But it's ok (in my opinion) to awe at the dream world, or admire it. On that lucid, I think I spent most of the time admiring the dream world. However I lost lucidity when trying to teleport.
