Question Good technique for start out?

Since I'm completely new to all of this, I need practice. I've been reading up the tutorials on how to induce lucidity, make the transition from reality to dream, all of that. Just thought I'd get people's opinions on what's the best technique to try when you're a beginner?
My first step is just to become lucid, nothing more, so I think I should go with the DILD method. And then after becoming successful at that, move on to another technique.
      What does everyone else think?

*Sorry for the thread title. Should be STARTING out. Fricking typos. ><'

Yeah, I've been doing them every... half an hour. Or whenever I'm reminded of LD in general. I'm starting my DJ tonight, and I'll keep an eye out for any patterns. I don't think I should do WILD until after my first few LDs.

When I first started I used DILD. Remember to keep a dream journal to help improve your dream recall and do reality checks often. I can't begin to tell you how awesome it is when you do a reality check and it fails. Good luck!

rockinred: I'm doing pretty good at all of that. Yeah, I can't wait until that funny moment when I do a RC and realize I'm dreaming~ :3
