Dreams...... Windows into past lives???

I've only had one dream that felt like a past life. For the record, I do believe in reincarnation, though I don't claim to know anybody I've ever been. This dream felt like the closest think to a window into a possible life I've ever had though. I was in a time period that appeared to be about two thousand years ago, give or take a few hundred years. I was wearing furs for clothes and I was a standing sentinal for my village. I had a sword at my side and was accomponied by a younger male who I felt a familial affection for. We stood atop a hill over looking a valley a short ways from our village, about a ten minute run. Two roman soldiors in full roman regelia with a local man who served as their guide came out from behind a grove of trees. I knew they were the advance guards and more were to come. I told the youth who was with me to run and inform the village to flee. I knew the only way we had a chance of informing the village was if I were to slow these three down. The romans sent the scout whom they had no care for up after me. I barely won the confrontation and found it remarkably difficult to shove my sword through his chest. The roman soldiors watched the fight, and had placed bets on it, kind of like we would a horse race. The next part was weird. One of the roman soldiors threw his beautifull brass headed spear at me. It was weird because the spear looked as if it would miss me, but instead curved in, and forced me to leap or be skewered, like how a baseball player throws a curve ball. While gathering my self on the ground from having lept out of the way of the first spear. The second soldior threw his spear and hit the right side of my face, taking off my ear and the adjoining skin. Dazed from the blow I was not even a fight when they came upon me with their swords and killed me.

That's an intense dream. It sounds like it could've been a dream of a past life because of how realistic it is.

very interesting dream. this thread reminds me a little of a CD by my favorite band: dream theater, called Metropolis Part II: scenes from a memory. In this concept album a character is put into trances to see images and scenes from his past life. very interesting ideas there. you should check it out.
